  1. The one thay comes to mind for me was Rampage vs Evans. Throughout that season of TUF and the shit talk beforehand I was certain it was going to end with someone getting banged out.... then it was just a sea of meh.

Messi has handed in a transfer request. If he does go on a free, I can’t imagine how much a club will be willing to pay him. What are the chances of him ending up in the Premier League? Or could we see him and Ronaldo in the same Juventus side?

I hope not. The snivelling little shit will nick a bunch of Ronnie's goals.

Pat McAfee was fantastic - they fucked up by showing him springboarding to the top rope and moonsaulting in his training montages, because that backflip and vertical leap would have got an even bigger pop out of me had I not been expecting them. Some real obnoxious heel swagger in his promo, too. Hopefully they keep him around in some capacity, and if they do, he doesn't just fade into being a face in the crowd, as they could have something genuinely special with him.

The match was - mostly - structured well enough that Adam Cole never looked weak even when on defence; McAfee was outclassed every time it came down to straight wrestling, and only got on top through shithousing and using his size to his advantage. It was an interesting test case in Adam Cole as a babyface, for sure.

Didn't really care about the rest of the show - the main event was maybe my least favourite Keith Lee match to date, and Kross continues to do nothing for me. The ladder match was fine, but I was constantly distracted by not wanting to see Velveteen Dream and, to a much lesser extent, not wanting Johnny Gargano to win. A solid finish, and a pleasing lack of too many elaborate "spend five minutes moving furniture" set-ups, but couldn't give a toss about Damien Priest.

Io vs. Kai was fine. Don't really remember much else about the show.

Pat McAfee was the stand out for sure. Far more competent than expected with a heap of charisma in the ring.

I refused to watch Quadrophenia for years for similar reasons. When I was 18, loads of boys round here got heavily into it and it turned them into total wankers. Going about shouting "We are the Mods!" and demanding to know if I was a "Mod Or a Rocker!!". In 1998.

I was quite surprised when I actually watched the film. No idea how so many people could claim to love a film and miss the fucking point so spectacularly.

Yeah but are you Mod or Rocker?

    WHO WILL WIN?

    WILL THERE BE CAKE?

Will MMA make a surprise dart to the finish line?

There is some rubbish local cricket about Max, even more than usual. I umpired a game where the team batting first were all out 32 a couple of weeks ago. Not particularly good bowling just really bad batting. Highlight of the batting was the number 3 who was bowled leaving a ball that pitched middle and hit middle. Walked off claiming it pitched outside off and jagged back.

To be fair back when I was playing regardless of method of delivery I would always grumble about it keeping low. Even if it was a long hop.

Another one - someone on here once mentioned some Turkish-made (possibly in joint efforts with Mexican studios?) of El Santo teaming up with Spider-Man.

Would be interested in seeing Roman Reigns vs. Jason Momoa's Aquaman, just to see who's the bigger macho Polynesian.

    Its the Rock.

Well scrap all that, not the Curran bit obviously, but the rest. Stokes is out of the rest of the Pakistan series because of family issues. So I'm guessing the team for the next test will probably be:

Burns, Sibley, Crawley, Root, Pope, Buttler, Woakes, Broad, Bess, Archer, Anderson.

Personally I'd go with Leach instead of Bess. I can't see them leaving Anderson out now unless he is injured.

I would go with Leach as well but they won't I think Anderson looked clearly worn out/carrying a niggle so am leaning towards him being left out.

If you are having a chippy tea the most you should have to wash up is a fork.

What about if you like to combine all the different aspects of your chippie tea onto the one plate so you can see it in full glory.

Stokes couldnt bowl in this test and he did. God bless that sexy bastard.

Im not a massive fan of Mark Wood. He's fast, but he's so delicate and goes for a lot on a bad day. And before anyone says "Devon Malcolm" he's different.

Curran I absolutely love though. Dangerous medium pace trundler. And as a medium pacer myself it's good to see one.

Wood should be kept on the back burner for away tests and white ball stuff. Not a huge fan either but they have convinced themselves they want him or Archer.

I'm probably a bit unfair to Curran because 1) he seemed to get matched up with Woakes in a lot of the selection discussion and no way should he be picked over Woakes and 2) I find a seemer who weighs 8 stone off putting.

Clearly he is going to be in and around the team for years though.

  11. He is OK. Bats a bit, think he might struggle at the test level TBH. Likely just back up.

Lots depends on if Stokes can bowl in the next test or not but  I think both Anderson and Archer will be "rotated" in the next test. Wood in for Archer and either Crawley or Curran for Anderson.

He's surely undroppable for home tests? Great to see him do a bit with the bat finally too as he was getting pelters for losing his batting. To be honest he can bat like Phil fucking Tufnell if he wants while he avgs 22 with the ball in home tests.

He was much better last winter as well. Doesn't help he gets given the ball soft abroad. I mean 2nd innings when is was obvious he was one of our 2 form bowlers he was the 5th person  to gave a shot, he bowled superbly but didn't get a 2nd spell.

Also something that is rarely noted is he never drops catches.
