It's a punch. That fact has never been refuted by anyone.
Thanks for clearing that up for us. 👍

I'm 99% sure I recall a Rogan podcast where he was talking about Sean O'Malley being a stoner, and something about it only being banned 48 hours away from a fight, or something like that. I can't remember the specifics, but I'm pretty certain it's a short time-scale that's forbidden.

Thanks both. Had no idea there even was such a thing as a CBD joint.

Excuse the stupid question but isn't THC banned during competition? Or is it just that he doesn't care?

I think that's his watch.
Yeah, good call. Could be. I'm not saying he doesn't hit him or that it's any less bad to chuck a drink. Just doesn't look like a punch to me.

Looks like he throws a drink at the bloke to me.
- He has his hand to his mouth before he throws it.
- He throws his arm in an upwards direction.
- There's a flash of light just before he 'lands' the punch. (Like glass catching the light).
- The guy walks through it like he's the fucking Korean Zombie or some shit. :P
Not that it matters. If it's him, it's just another example of what a twat he appears to have become.

Perry isn't going to be fighting anyone for a quite a while given that nose injury from the weekend.
-
An hour long surgery immediately afterwards, apparently. Nightmarish ... not a fan of the persona he has in the UFC but wouldn't wish that on anyone.

What's the 'edited video' Cyborg posted? I keep seeing references to it, but not ... it.

Some on the Sherdog forum legitimately thought it was a work.
In reality, I think Covington simply wore him down and perplexed him.
Yeah, I'm not saying I actually thought it was. That's how Covington managed to make it look. At the same time I wouldn't be shocked if we find out something was wrong with Lawler. Something just didn't seem right.

What a bizarre performance by Lawler. Parts of that fight genuinely looked like a work to me. It took him 4 and a half rounds to throw anything with any power behind it. Just bizarre.

Think Holloway will destroy Edgar in all honesty. The style of matchup isn't good for Frankie.
Totally agree and for that reason I'm not that interested in the fight. I struggle to think of a PPV card I've been less interested in.

There's absolutely no way DC agrees to fight Ngannou in my opinion. Why would he? It's pretty easy for him to duck him without much impact to either the remainder of his career or his legacy. Why take the risk.

I agree. The ECB are claiming its right because we've (at least) two T20 world cups before the next 50 over one. But 50 over cricket is we all know from playing on weekends as players all over the Country on a local level and as fans what we've just fucking won a world cup in.
Also, an obvious miss by Strauss and Giles here is that the fucking hundred isn't fucking T20.
Is that a confirmed thing now then? I know that was the suggestion but hadn't seen it formally announced. Absolutely bonkers decision.
-
Lower scoring games of cricket are always much more fun to watch than run-fests. It's about balance between bat and ball. Absolutely nothing wrong with that surface other than it didn't suit England and, with home advantage, you'd think the groundsman would be on our side. 😂

4,500 spaces for a stadium that seats 60k seems a bit tight. Most will be using public transport, I guess. If you do manage to park there then it's a short walk to the stadium.

He's 70!
Is he really! Wow, didn't think he was that old.

Wow, Bob Willis looks really old and unwell in that video. I know it's old, but is he OK?

Wouldn't 4 rounds of Warburton's be 8 slices? 8 slices of thick sliced bread on top of that is a Herculean effort.
Edit: I've opened a can of worms here. The fuck is a 'round'. I know it as a slice but I checked before posting and the internet says two slices. Stunned by this since posting, ive checked further and it's the wild west out there. Nobody seems to agree.

What's interesting is trying to work out if he genuinely believes it or if he's just trying to make himself relevant again to make money out of his next fight. Of course, without being around him it's impossible to know, but it does feel from interviews etc that he's no longer playing the character and he now genuinely believes this shit. There was a time when he came over as one of the smartest businessmen in fighting. Now he seems delusional.

Well happy for Stipe. I've got nothing against DC and he seems like a top bloke but (having only seem him in the UFC) I've never been that convinced by him. Obviously Jones did a number on him twice but this is the kind of defeat he's always seemed possible of having, to me. I know there are many on here capable of making that sound stupid - an argument for a different thread. I thought the first 3 rounds of the fight were terrible from a fighters perspective. A dream for any boxer that says MMA fighters can't box. They just stood in front of each other, hands down, still heads, trading. The moment one of them decided to move his feet a little, move his head, and throw some shots with a bit of strategy, the fight was done. DC's defensive boxing seemed to entail reaching out with hands open trying to grab Stipe's wrists.
