I know he was. But Vince will be in the squad for the next game and if Moeen fails he'll be back in. Main issue is additions to the "you're young and done nothing wrong" list Curran was in, amd it's new member Pope.

Yeah, I'm not disagreeing with you. Just pointing out that he isn't an option for tomorrow.

I thought, at 2-0 up and with Anderson and Broad talking about being rested, the third test was the perfect chance to reward Curran for some good performances and give him a real vote of confidence as a young prospect by keeping him in the team. Good that he's back in the side but he should never have been dropped in my opinion.

He still can depending on the wicket tomorrow. If we want to get yet another man chucking a bat indiscriminately at a ball I'd rather have Roy than Vince. Or Mark Stoneman opening rather than Jennings. He has the same average and wasnt scared to get his 17 in 100 balls.

Please get Hameed back to form

They announced the team today and Vince has gone back to his county: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/45340174

Green Monkey by Joules in Market Drayton is phenomenal.

Not one I've had to be honest. There are other good ones, of course. I just think from a consistency and availability point of view, Hells is hard to beat. People give it shit because it's a 'boring' style and Camden sold out but the bottom line is it's just a genuinely great beer.

Absolutely agree. Hells is a cracking mid range ‘craft’. It’s pretty much in the same tier A’s Brooklyn’s standard lager. A decent sessionable ale.

I'd go so far as to says Hells is the best lager brewed in the UK. I struggle to think of any that are better.

I’m a bevertown fan boy and was worried about what the Heineken deal meant. But in reality I think the brews will remain unharmed, it’s basically just cashing in on Neck Oil & Gamma really, whilst BTown secures coin for Beavertown world.

I think the beer will stay the same for as long as it makes business sense for it to stay the same. In reality that probably means for the foreseeable future. That's the thing when you sell out ... as much as the company will give it the biggun about still being in control, they ain't. Even at 49%, Heineken will want a return on their investment and they hold the purse strings. The power is with them. Beaverworld (what a bloody terrible name and concept!) is probably just a bolt-on that provides a nice distraction. Basically it'll be a factory for churning out beer with a nice tap room. It's the factory that they wanted the cash for.

Anyway, if anyone’s a fan of Neck Oil I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy our pale ale ‘Moonsalt’ which we knocked out with a Flash house brew in the N.E. Nice crisp, citrusy 4.6% Pale.

We did a short run on keg, around 30 barrels and all have sold out in 2 weeks. Which bodes well for some can releases in Autumn.

Nice. Who's 'we'? Not heard of Flash House but that's probably just through being based in the south.

Or AB inBev as it’s otherwise known (Budweiser, Stella, Becks).

Beavertown recently sold large minority shares to Heineken too.

Get a certain size then sell up.

Correct. But if we're talking about beer quality alone then I stand by Camden Pale as a recommended replacement for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Beavertown sold 49% of the business. So that's pretty much as big a minority as you can get. :P

I'm quite partial to a Sierra Nevada, but I don't see it in many pubs round here. Is there something similar to it in flavour that's more commonly available?

Camden Town Brewery Pale Ale is probably what's kicking it off most taps.

  7. Looks great, Onyx2. Not sure about the cardboard container though. Straight-up old school paper is the only way to go. Don't even get me started on polystyrene - absolute abomination. 😂

You think if I went to New York on holiday and hurled a steel dolly at a bus full of people I'd get let off because it's my first crime?

Well firstly he didn't get 'let off'.

Not certain, but I think Chunk was making the point that, because McG's now TBTF, he was always going to get all possible circumstances put his way, like first crime, and so on, more than any non-celeb.

Secondly, this. I'm not saying it's the right decision, I'm just saying I don't see why anyone was expecting anything different.

Also, I'm not sure you'd get much more of a serious sentence if you did it either. What do you think you'd get? 5 years in prison or something?

  9. Everything else aside, Punk comes over as such a nice, humble guy in the Embedded stuff. Perhaps exaggerated by it being in contrast to what an absolute bell Covington is.

The Convington stuff is just so naff. Obviously he's playing it up; but you get a real sense that, when the cameras stop rolling, he's still an absolute twat.

John McCarthy on Rogan's podcast is naturally well worth listening to. He must be such an easy guest. Guy justs chats away and it seems like a real conversation, with plenty of knowledge to be gained at the same time from a true OG of the sport.

Really good episode. Had completely gone over me that he's had to retire from refereeing as a result of his commentary gig with Bellator. Bit of a shame.

all the details you need there ^ id be watching this one live on the telly if it wasnt for the Whyte/Browne fight over on Sky. Should be a good one.

Should be! Keen to see how Nathaiel Wood does. A UFC call must be coming soon if he can defend again. The size difference between him and Iovine looks significant.

    Hello mate,

To be honest, they aren’t really that desirable I’m afraid to say. Standard release JAKKS figures (other than classic superstars) aren’t old enough for people to care about just yet and were really mass produced. They are the hardest line to shift at the moment.

Your figure boxes aren’t mint, and these figures aren’t worth anything extra for being in great condition, so they have the same value as loose figures. You might get a fiver for the Jeff Hardy, purely because there are a few people who exclusively collect Hardy figures.

You’d be lucky to get £3-£5 each.

    Sorry to sound so blunt.

Not at all. That's really useful to hear. Thanks. To be honest I'll take what they're worth, I was just worried someone might get something off me that's worth a bit more purely because im clueless.

  13. I'm selling off a load of old wrestling figures. I've no idea if there will be any interest in them to be honest, but I figure there's no harm in posting them here. I'll update the post as I get through them so check back over time if you're interested. I've got about 20 / 30 in total. Post with an offer if you're interested.

  14. Isn't it classic pro wrestling to reach a peak as a babyface and then heel turn? The man is a genius at keeping himself relevant and on top of the sport.*

    * Or he's become a massive twat and all the money and fame has got to him.
