d-d-d-dAz
Raul Midon - State Of Mind  I have got this song in MP3 if anyone wants it.  It just sounds so much better when you can see his insane slap/downstrum acoustic guitar technique. He's a blind, African-American singer songwriter who's music fits somewhere between Jazz/soul/r 'n' b...but in a good way.  Check it.

Guest Fester Stallone
The Draft are probably the plainest most ordinary band I've ever heard. Kind of band you put on your "favourite band" list to pad it out to make it look like you love music loads.A song of the day is I write sins not tragedies, I put panics album on shuffle all day and its really cool. I wont post the song because you should have the album anyway if you're any good.

Paid Members LaGoosh Posted May 16, 2007 Paid Members Share Posted May 16, 2007 This is a song most of you'll probably of heard of. "Come To Daddy" by Aphex Twin. If you haven't heard it then I can tell you it's possibly the most fucked up, dark, scary, evil and brilliant song ever written. One reviewer once descrnbed it as "the music played in Hell" which I think is the perfect description of this disturbing yet incredible piece of music.  Enjoy.  http://www.sendspace.com/file/d1zyix  Oh yeah, check out the video too. It features a granny being tormented by deformed school kids on a council estate and giant monster that climbs out of a TV screen. It's great. Paid Members ShortOrderCook Posted May 17, 2007 Paid Members Share Posted May 17, 2007 Marvelous idea for a thread, an early contender for 'of the year' for sure and one that i intend to abuse thoroughly. I can't help but feel it may slighly hinder the possible fun and frolics of a possible second annual Leicester Lantern Burnarama mind. Â Anyway, here's my first contributions that maybe, might be enjoyed by someone. Â Cold War Kids - 'Hospital Beds' Â The Pigeon Detectives - 'I'm Not Sorry' Â And the blatantly homosexual Patrick Wolf - Overture
ajpiles
Here's some more. Give the Fightstar song a chance, their EP & album both have some great songs on them. Geek USA is a must download, one of the best songs of the 90s.  Fightstar - Speak Up  http://www.sendspace.com/file/naz9xd  Death From Above 1979 - Pull Out  http://www.sendspace.com/file/nayy6s  Smashing Pumpkins - Geek USA  http://www.sendspace.com/file/y28gtu
Mr. Seven
I've been neglecting my own thread, so here's a rather jaunty little number from a great band named StellaStar* : Â 'Sweet Troubled Soul'
PC316
My song for today is by one of the greatest bands of modern times, and would rank among my favourite songs ever written.  The Lawrence Arms - 100 Resolutions  One of the many reasons I absolutely adore this band is that you can hear the passion oozing out of the music, you can tell every single word is coming straight from the heart. Great musicians too, with some superb vocal harmonies. The track I've chosen is actually from a split EP they did with The Chinkees, but can also be found on their superb B-Sides album "Cocktails and Dreams". If you love this track, I suggest purchasing their entire discography immediately.
