Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted July 21, 2006 Moderators Share Posted July 21, 2006 Does anyone know what the classical music that played during the aspirational TV segment was?Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell I believe. We used it at Reading last season to great effect for our pre-match video on the big screen, really sends chills down the spine with the accompanying footage.I think it was used for a Lord of the Rings trailer or something too and also in Requiem for a Dream.Yeah, it's Summer Overture from the Requiem For a Dream score. It's a really great piece of music, but verging on being overused, although I don't think I could ever get sick of it. It crops up in trailers and videos constantly.Search for 'Requiem For A Dream' or 'Two Towers trailer' in your P2P vehicle of choice.
HBAndy
Bloody good TV that was. Can't put it simpler than that. Unless he starts reviewing his own show! ARG! POST-MODERNISM!
Paid Members Supremo Posted July 22, 2006 Paid Members Share Posted July 22, 2006 Thank you so much for the tip off, this was awesome. The entire, "ACTUALLY how dare you?" rant was hilarious. Essential viewing from now on.
Moderators neil Posted July 22, 2006 Moderators Share Posted July 22, 2006 The opening music is AM 180 by Grandaddy if anyone is interested. They wisely play the only tolerable part of that song.
Registration_Form
As I've been struggling for quite a while to sign up to UKNova, any chance of someone sticking on a file-sharing program, like SoulSeek, and letting me d/l them if they're not too big files? textonly
I just caught this by chance last night and it was really good. The bit about aspirational TV probably just gave me an idea for my dissertation next year.
Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted July 22, 2006 Moderators Share Posted July 22, 2006 Someone else mentioned this on another forum the other day, so I can't claim it, but watching 50 Movies To See Before You die on C4 right now, the Boyz N The Hood footage seals it. Charlie Brooker really, really looks like Lawrence Fishbourne.

mikey
The woman who was talking about sex on TV was so right. Ally McBeal was the most unbelieveable pile of tosh, masquerading as surrealist comedy ever. Plus, the woman would get it.
