what date was the last wrestling shown on itv, i know wos stopped in 85 but saturdat afternoon went on for a bit after that.

Check my sig. World Of Sport ended in '85. The wrestling show continued in a different time slot until the end of '88. After that, there was a break, then WCW appeared on some ITV regions (not STV  ) around 1992 and carried on for almost 2 years, I think.
It varied by regions. In the Central area, we didn't have a break after British wrestling stopped airing in 1988. That was followed up by late weeknight airings of Wrestling Challenge through most of 1989 followed by WCW Power Hour which started around October/November of that year. That and then WCW Pro and/or Worldwide continued into late 1990/early 1991 when Central then started showing different independent groups for successive several month runs, and they included: the Global Wrestling Alliance (Florida indy show from 1987 that featured Norman Smiley, Jumbo Baretta, Rusty Brookes, Steve 'Party Animal' Collins and Cpl. Kirchner, amongst others);some British promotion (I think it was called WAW, and it may have even been TV tapings from the same Norwich-based WAW promotion of today); ICW (New York mid-eighties indy that featured Eric Sbracchia, Kevin Sullivan, Mark Lewin, Woman, Austin Idol and Joe Savoldi);and, Florida Championship Wrestling (from 1989, featuring Scotty The Body, Dusty Rhodes, Terry Funk, Hangman Bobby Jaggers, a young Dustin Rhodes and US Steel, amongst others). Then when WCW began airing on Saturday afternoons in horribly edited form, the late weeknight shows stopped airing. It's concerning that I vividly recall this yet can't remember a single match from last month's TNA pay-per-view, whatever it was called.
There's more detail on the ITV Wrestling site. I was only going on what I remembered. The WAW of which you speak wasn't the Knight organisation - it was the Pallo thing that cost a fortune and drew a big house but still went completely bust because they couldn't sell it for a decent amount.

Post-1988Although British wrestling was no longer televised nationally after 1988, several shows appeared on individual regional ITV stations, while US wrestling appeared both regionally and nationally.Wrestling Around The WorldThis promotion, run by Jackie Pallo, taped one event for broadcast on satellite television. While billed as Superstars of Wrestling, the tapes were actually a repackaged version of Wrestling Challenge. The matches appear to have been recorded between spring of 1987 and spring 1988, but were not necessarily shown in order. The earliest match we have traced (which aired on the debut episode) appears to have been Raymond Rougeau v Bret Hart from either Houston on 19 October 2006 or Madison Square Garden the following day. Also on the show was Hulk Hogan & Rick Steamboat vs Randy Savage and the Honky Tonky Man from the Meadowlands Arena on 5 January 1987 and Outback Jack v Jimmy Jack Funk from the Boston Garden on 7 March 1987. * The same tapes aired on Thames/LWT from June-88 to April 89. * Central showed tapes from several US promotions, including Professional Wrestling from Florida (from the first half of 1989), Global Wrestling (Florida version, not the later Dallas group), and matches from the AWA/World Class/Memphis partnership of late 1988. * Thames/LWT showed NWA/WCW wrestling from January 1990. Although these were still billed as Superstars of Wrestling, the shows were repackaged versions of NWA Power Hour, originally taped between July and December 1989. A second run of 1990 tapes aired between the summer and autumn of 1990. * In the summer of 1991, several episodes of NWA television from mid-1990 aired on Thames/LWT on Saturday nights. * From September 1991, most ITV regions began airing relatively up-to-date WCW Worldwide shows eary on Sunday mornings, though there was no consistent timeslot. * LWT repeated one match each Sunday afternoon in the Sharp's Funday show. * From Spring 1992, a repackaged version of Worldwide begain airing nationally on Saturday afternoons. From July 1994, the show would feature highlights of recent pay-per-view events. WCW was dropped by ITV in 1995.Transatlantic Wrestling ChallengeThis was a six-episode series originally aired in 2000 in the Meridian, Anglia and HTV regions. It was later shown nationally on digital channel ITV 2.The series featured a 16 man tournament, with eight wrestlers from the UK and eight representing the United States. The tournament began with a round-robin stage of four groups: * Group A: Vigilante (Johnny Moss), Majik, David Young, Ozzie Rulz (Ashley Hudson) * Group B: Tank, Gary Steele, Sinn, Rukkus * Group C: Psycho Steve, Jon Ryan, Prodigy, Tony Kozina * Group D: Paul Vault, Kung Fu, Rick Michaels, Kory WilliamsThe top two finishers in each group then advanced to the knockout stages. The tournament was won by Sinn, beating Gary Steele in the final. The last show also featured Nikita beating Riptide to win the TWC Ladies trophy.Celebrity WrestlingThis reality game-show aired on ITV on Saturday evenings in 2005. After five weeks of extremely poor ratings, it was moved to Sunday mornings for the rest of its run. Despite the title, and the presence of pro wrestlers Roddy Piper, Joe Legend and D Lo Brown, the show did not feature wrestling matches, but rather Gladiators-style challenges. The show featured two teams:The CrusadersThis team was trained by wrestler D-Lo Brown * Jeff Brazier - Pocket Rocket * Tiffany Chapman - Princess of Power * Leilani Dowding - The Vixen * Mikey Green - Wild Boy * Michelle Heaton - Inferno * James Hewitt - Gentleman Jim * Jenny Powell - The Avenger * Lee Sharpe - Sharpe Shooter * Scott Wright - Snake EyesThe WarriorsThis team was trained by wrestler Joe Legend * Marc Bannerman - El Diablo * Annabel Croft - Solitaire - female winner * Kate Lawler - The Brawler * Shauna Lowry - Tigress * Victoria Silvstedt - Ice Maiden * Oliver Skeete - Rebel Rider * Iwan Thomas - The Dragon - male winner * Phill Turner - The Handy ManThe Warriors won the team event.

Could anybody tell me a complete match/segment listing for Big Vision's Hardcore Homecoming/November Reign UK release double (quadruple disc) pack please? Thanks very much

Assuming the UK release is the same as the original USA releases ...Hardcore Homecoming- introduction by Tod Gordon, Joey Styles, Cyrus, and Joel Gertner1) Mikey Whipwreck & Chris Chetti vs Simon Diamond & C.W. Anderson2) Blue Meanie vs Tracy Smothers- fallen heroes of hardcore tribute, featuring Tammy Sytch, Pitbull 1, Johnny Grunge, 911.3) 2 Cold Scorpio vs Kid Kash4) New Jack & John Kronus vs Ian & Axl Rotten5) Jerry Lynn vs Justin Credible (with Jason)6) The Sandman vs Raven (with Blue Meanie & The Musketeer)7) No-Rope Barbed Wire Match: Sabu (with Bill Alfonso) vs Terry Funk vs Shane Douglas (with Francine)The entire show was superb live, but due to editing out crowd chants and entrance music it comes across fairly poor on dvd.The main event and Lynn vs Credible are good matches, Raven vs Sandman was fun, and New Jack cut an interesting promo.November Reign1) Blue Meanie vs Danny Doring2) C.W. Anderson vs Spike Dudley3) Balls Mahoney vs John Kronus4) Shane Douglas (with Francine) vs Pitbull Gary Wolfe - Dog Collar Match- Terry Funk tribute with Tod Gordon5) Ian Rotten vs Axl Rotten - Taipei Death Match 2- appearance from Dawn Marie6) Jerry Lynn vs Justin Credible - Steel Cage Match7) Sabu & Terry Funk vs The Dudley BoyzThe cage match was very good and features a surprise run-in, the hardcore stuff was decent with flaming tables in the main event and Ian & Axl slicing eachother up - but like with Hardcore Homecoming, editing out entrance music really puts a spanner in the works.
Thanks dopper :)
IMO, Hardcore Homecoming is a great show, even with the editing on the DVD (although the PA system is terrible, so in that sense it remained true to the origanl ECW ;-) ). It benifits from having Joey Styles on commentry and is a very enjoyable show overall. Also, the extras on the double disc version are really great, with a couple of good XPW matches and stuff.Personally, I didn't really enjoy November Reign at all (although I only got the single disc edition). Losing Joey Styles to WWE really hurt the show. It also lacked some of the guys the first show had and only really gained the Dudleys. On the whole, despite the great start, the Hardcore Homecoming tour really lost steam as it went along and I think a lot of people might have been secretly happy when the tour ended at November Reign.WWE had similar problems when they originally had ECW as a seperate touring show, before merging it with SmackDown! The problem was the shows mainly drew due to the nostagia of the original ECW and most of the orginal talent were old and/or broken down, meaning crowds dwindled quickly.

Just read this on the wikipage for Smackdown vs Raw 2009:"Custom soundtracks will be featured on the PlayStation 3 version as well as the Xbox 360 version."Is this true? Has this been written on anything official?

I assume that means 'you can play your own music over the top'. Although the ast 360 SD game let you use custom entrance music.
