No weird shit!

What's stuff you click on that you've no real interest in? YouTube, Shorts, Reels, etc?

I'll watch loads of people testing clearly fake or scam products, often tools. Dunno why, I've no interest in DIY, but if someone has bought some shit off Temu or Facebook or one of those terrible AI websites (so still via Facebook) and is proving it's shite, I'm clicking.

People fixing consoles too. I like seeing stuff get fixed generally, but it's years since I've even owned and regularly played a console. People fixing them though, especially old ones, is something I'll always watch. Even though it's normally 20 minutes of someone soldering (soddering) stuff via a microscope. Never fails to get a "what the fuck are you watching" or "this guy is boring as hell" from the missus.

People doing man vs food type challenges. I’ve no idea why to be honest - it can be eating a shitload of food, or something excruciatingly hot - especially when it’s in Scotland and something I could feasibly try myself.

Im a bit of a foodie so that’s tangentially how I explain it, but similar to Rick, I get a lot of concerned judgment from my wife on this one.

I thought the most honest way to answer this would be to go to YouTube and show the first two recommended videos that aren't in my subs list.

So I present a live cam of some retriever puppies:

and a clip from Kenan and Kel.

I think that says it all. I absolutely love YouTube.

Mine is almost exclusively people building home servers. I built my own last year, so I guess it's hobby, but mine's built and done, so there's absolutely no reason for me to watch video after video of other people doing the same. But I do.

No way I'm clicking anything with an obvious AI thumbnail. My own daft little protest.

I watch with no intention of building it. Or with some intention until it looks hard. I watched an entire series of a guy building a back garden pizza oven and I was too exhausted from watching it to even contemplate a build!

This is what I get for selling @SuperBacon’s data:

I assume there’s some extremely tenuous algorithm link caused by my Brookside playlists:

And this one? Absolutely no idea how it and similar videos keep popping up:
