Daaaaaad!
I was in the crowd for this - in fact, I only bought my ticket for the match 3hrs before the first leg. Had I not bought it prior to the tie beginning, I likely wouldn't have bothered going at all. At the end of the 90+ additional time I just sat and laughed for the longest time. It's almost sad to think that I will never, ever experience a football match like this again. Pep Guardiola even talked about it the next day ffs! The two goosebumpiest bits are after James scores the third: "This could be happening!" but more so after Liam Palmer, an academy graduate from Worksop who I was fortunate enough to see play for Scotland as well (figure that one out) bundles home and flings himself into the corner flag. It may not be a European cup final, but it definitely brought Sheffield Wednesday back within touching distance of pop culture for the first time since Di Canio shoved Alcock in 1998. Edited October 9 by Daaaaaad! added extra fun detail about ticket. It's fun.
RIDDUM_N_STYLE
3 hours ago, Max Power said: In a similar vein, Beckham's free kick against Greece. Scenes, as the kids say. Its one of those goals where I can remember exactly where I was - desperate for a piss at the Cricket Club and just wanting the ref to blow to put us out of our misery so I can get to the toilet. I love watching that goal anytime it’s posted somewhere but I hate how the go to commentary on it is Gary Bloom’s rather than either Motty or Martin Tyler, same with the 5-1 v Germany any time that comes up it’s usually Peter Brackley’s comms unless someone rips their copy off Sky or BBC On Topic, for me it’s the night Michael Jackson died, I was sat watching something and scrolling socials on my phone when it broke he’d been hospitalised so immediately started flicking between Sky, Fox News and CNN for the coverage. When it finally broke he’d passed it was pretty surreal as I think only a day or two before he’d been over in London rehearsing for his comeback gigs at the O2
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon
Brilliant day at Wembley for this one and seeing him score this goal was unbelievable. The fans around me went mental and it was just pure joy of 'did he really just do that????'  Also great memories of spending time with my dad. He wasn't interested in football in the slightest, but he'd still take me to Spurs, England, Orient matches because he knew I wanted to go.

Slapnut
@King CoconutJealous you got to experience that live. The closest I came to such an experience was George North scoring against Australia in less than a minute into the game. There was an atmosphere in the air from the minute I arrived at the stadium and I thought fuck me, we’re actually going to do it, we’re going to beat Australia for the first time in years, and I’m here to see it! They obviously lost. Edited October 10 by Slapnut
