It's a pretty wacky route to "heir apparent" isn't it. Hardly "couple of tag titles, couple of Intercontinental titles, now you're ready" like the good old days!

It's a stunning reflection of how AEW has been good for the business though that a guy can (regardless of what he did there or how it ended up) leave WWE as an afterthought, become renewed and refreshed, come back in and be presented as a big star. There's somewhere else to go. Like the good old days.

I think Bianca is a pretty good case study of how you can make someone a pretty big deal, in context, in fairly short order, and how you can recover from a poor start.

She got the call up to the main roster at Mania 36 but then spent the next 6 months almost exclusively on Main Event. It was only when she got drafted to Smackdown in the October when they started to do anything at all with her on proper TV, 3 months later she's winning the Rumble, couple of months after that she's main eventing one of the nights of Mania and never felt out of place.

There's a great video that could be made by wwe comparing their two WrestleMania journeys, the message being Cody 'refusing to give up on his dream'.

Bianca is a good example that you can get to main event, lose your belt but still be perceived as main event, as long as the company doesn't book you into 50/50 midcard hell just because you're not in THE main event at this particular moment. So many people have been lost in the shuffle over the last 20 years it's ridiculous.

Always irked me more than it should that the WWF/WWE insisted on a distinction between a “ladder match” and a “TLC” match when in fact there isn’t one. The rules are the same - no DQ, use whatever plunder you want, climb ladder and get belt(s). Completely unnecessary name. A ladder match is what it is.

@RIDDUM_N_STYLE fyi Edge is missing his participation in the WM23 Money in the Bank match. He was stretchered out partway in order to preserve his “undefeated streak” to help build to the ‘Taker match the next year, but he was definitely involved.

So he was, don’t know how I missed that, nice one
