Logan Paul smokes Bron Breakker on every conceivable level. And that’s not even a knock on Bron. He’s just unlucky that he’s going through that system from fresh, with time on his side, and no previous succcess in any other field. All those factors allow them to fully, “mould,” him, which essentially means iron out all his natural instincts and individualism and have him rehearse hitting his marks and cutting the same style of promo thousands and thousands of times. I swear guys aren’t allowed to graduate that system until they have that glassy, half-dead look in their eyes as they try to remember to do exactly what Prince Albert drilled time and time again. Bron’s half way there already.

It’s clear as day at this point that the best use of the Performance Centre is to bring in lifelong fans who’ve got natural athleticism, natural charisma, and yet so much money in the bank that they’d laugh at the idea of moving to Florida for two years.

Pat McAfee first, and now Logan Paul. Guys where there’s no options available other than delivering a crash course, yet leaving enough gaps for them to actually bring some of themselves to it, rely on their instincts and to take inspiration from what they watched growing up.

Maybe it’s just a taste thing, though. I’m sure Randy Orton is someone’s favourite wrestler, after all.

Not downplaying how good Logan Paul is at all, but I don't think you can compare someone like Bron Breakker to him, because they're being trained and prepared for completely different roles. Bron needs to be able to work multiple nights a week, against varied opponents, and to be able to (to some extent) call a match in the ring, while Logan Paul can be trained to work one specific match once every six months or so, it's a different skillset. It's easier to teach someone to work one match than it is to teach them to "wrestle" like a pro. Obviously Logan Paul has a ton of athletic ability, presence and natural talent that make that one match a lot better than most, though.

It does make you wonder if the Performance Center's all it's cracked up to be, though, when there's plenty of clips out there from NXT or Level Up matches where wrestlers struggle to navigate the ring properly, or can't lock-up or chain wrestle for shit, yet they've got Shane Helms training the likes of Logan Paul, Bad Bunny and McAfee to have bonafide main events. It seems a pretty damning indictment that the actual stars they bring in are sent anywhere but the Performance Center to be taught how to work.

The other issue is that if the PC keeps churning out people who all work the same way, all have the same reactions, the same mannerisms, the same approach to working TV, then of course someone like Logan Paul walking in and doing it their way is going to stand out.
