I voted 'Yet another thread about doing a plop'.

I thought my winner would be 'Foley Is Crud', as it's a fascinating look at how Foley went from so many people's favourites to one of their least.

But I re-read 'plop' over New Year and it's such an entertaining read, I couldn't not vote for it. From one of the greatest opening lines of any thread ('I've got piles') to Kookookachu plugging prune juice, to people organising and going through with a literal shitting contest, to Loki's revelations about ripping shit from his arse, it's compelling throughout, and full of wrestling puns too.

I sat in Departures in Edinburgh Airport, chuckling away to myself reading it. The other half kept asking what I was laughing at, and eventually I had to show her. She, not knowing anything about anyone on this place, was in hysterics reading it. We went away for three days and throughout the entire time, she'd burst into spontaneous giggles thinking about poor Steve Justice buying the wrong kind of juice. 'Prune juice' became code for 'smile' while taking photos.

Aside from all that, it's a great example of the camaraderie of this place which makes it one of my favourite places on the Internet.

So yeah, for those reasons, the plop thread.

Michael Owen hates films/UKFF loves food is a majestic thread going back through it.

Oh yeah, and a girl wouldn't go out with me when I was 13 because apparently I smelled of gravy.
