Am already half way through the 3rd season, to say am hooked would be an understatement. Its gritty, absolutely brutal and down right grim at times but, i can't stop watching! the only thing i don't like is the Augustus Hill commentary every ep, i find that a bit tedious at times. Obviously I’m going to plug the Inside Oz Podcast (http://insideozpodcast.podbean.com) with this thread bump, which much like yourself is currently in its third series (S3E5 went live this past Friday). I’m not surprised that you’ve blasted through half of the show in a week. Each episode absolutely flies by due to having such an array of characters and plot threads going on at any one time, and very rarely does anything seem to over stay it’s welcome. I’m not as down on Augustus’ monologues because they tend to be a good framing device, and Harold Perrineau has the charisma to pull them off. First 3 seasons were fantastic, yeah the quality dropped around half way through the 4th season but, it was still great television. What's all the hate for Omar White?, i thought he was a brilliant character, also the first execution attempt on Cyrill was edge of your sit television, a whirl wind of emotions, the bit that got me was when he fastens the belt on the electrocution chair himself he 100% thought he was getting ECT treatment ... then the two phonecalls, the first teasing us, just brilliant i thought. The series finale was good up until the ending, that was piss poor, i would have liked to have seen Beecher character get a conclusion Beecher vs Schillinger is one of the best feuds ever in tv, them two along with Cyril were my favorite characters throughout the series. Oh and McManus was a dick! i gave your podcast a follow as well @WyattSheepMask this afternoon, ill try listen to a few eps in the coming weeks!
