The final scores are now in the opening post, but we're still a long way from a full update. Having attempted to figure out the scores of just the top 4, I can reveal that it appears that MVP RULZ will finish on a Bradmanesque 399 points, with Del and dave both trailing a full 16 points further back, whilst TildeGuy should remain a few points behind that duo. Barring something extraordinary by someone even further down the standings, this means that the current leader is the 2013-14 champion, as we'd been expecting for some time.

All will be confirmed in a proper write-up at the end of the week.

EDIT: Oh, and it looks like Seph has avoided last place by a full 6 points. Even if hallicks had made his picks in time for the Scottish Cup final and managed an exact score, it wouldn't have helped.

  • 3 weeks later...

So, I bet some of you were wondering what happened to this? I did figure out the 'regular' table update a couple of weeks ago, and was planning to do the full end-of-season one and embed it in a bigger update here, but I never got round to it. My initial projections were correct anyway. Were it not for unfortunate honeymoon timing, MVP RULZ may have broken the 400-point barrier, while hallicks will rue some rounds where he made his picks late, even though Seph missed a couple too. Shy Dad dropped down massively by sitting out the final week.

There's no point going through all the matches now, except very briefly. Apart from the Scottish Cup final, one of the French matches, and the 'out there' American and African fixtures, most results were obvious. The Italian league games ended up meaningless since Parma don't have so Torino got into the Europe League anyway, although AC Milan failing to qualify for Europe is still a bit of a big story.

Average scoring was much higher than in previous seasons. Only cheetah and Teedy Kay dropped out. I may have a full update done by the time of the sign-ups for the following campaign.

I've already started planning next season, even though only the French have released their fixtures so far. Internationals will be even more complicated, sadly. The sign-up thread will appear sometime between the end of the World Cup and the start of the Commonwealth Games, with the card for Week 1 of 2014-15 being posted on Wednesday, August 6th.

In the meantime, I hope everyone enjoys the tournament and the summer, and - thanks again for playing!

Thanks for running Fog Dude, you did a fantastic job as league runner and the updates are always a good read

Happy with my win, would of been disapointing to lose it having lead virtually the whole way through the season, the Gap seemed to close weekly from January onwards but only by a few points here and there, my D2D was the real clincher for me.

Well played everyone, look forward to defending my crown next season
