Night 1 Opening Contest

N1_Tozawa_Osprey.jpg

Akira Tozawa v Will Osprey

Will Osprey is one of the most dynamic, exciting compeitiors to have emmerged on the European scene in the last couple of years, the same of which could have been said about Akira Tozawa a few years back. Tozawa is everything Osprey hopes to be... highly respected by his peers, a hugely popular and exciting addition to any event and constantly improving and stealing the majority of shows he is involved in.

Just like Tozawa's debut in 2011 in Broxbourne against Dragon Kid The talented breakout prospect faces off against a more experienced top level talent in the opening contest. A match that set the tone for Tozawa in the UK, can this match set the scene for Osprey's explosion into the Worldwide scene? We'll find out on July 25th.

Friday, Match 2

N1_Lion_Uhaa_.jpg

Lion Kid vs Uhaa Nation

Lion Kid wanted competition, visiting the UK office and requesting to fight anyone who he has never faced before. So we put out the challenge to the Japanese office and one man stepped up and accepted the challenge. No stranger to the UK scene, extensively touring the UK in the past year, he had no sooner had he touched down in Japan than he was heading back this way, this man is Uhaa Nation!

We would say, and it appears as if it is somewhat of a styles clash, but if you have ever seen Uhaa Nation in action, you will know, despite his huge stature he is one of the most agile comeptitors on the Dragon Gate roster. He will be put to the test when he faces a fully fit Lion Kid, who has been Injured for the last 12 months and now is the perfect time in his mind to show the Nation (pun intended) that he is back and ready to face the toughest competition.

Starting the Second Half

N1_Hulk_Yamato.jpg

Yamato v BxB Hulk

It doesn't get much bigger than this. Just days after lifting the Open the Dream Gate title, BxB Hulk comes face to face with the man whom he defeated to lift the title at the Kobe World event last Sunday.

We're talking the main event from Dragon Gate's biggest show of the year, on UK soil, just days after headlining the PPV. Yamato has had a heck of a year and the "Battleship" is going to do everything in his power to try and right the wrong from Sunday night to earn another shot at the Dream Gate title, can he defeat the new Open the Dream Gate Champion "The Darkside Hero" BxB Hulk?

First Half Main Event

N1_Speed_Muscle_CIMA_Yokosuka_.jpg

All Star Tag Match :
Speed Muscle (Doi and Yoshino) vs CIMA and Susumu Yokosuka

Fans said they wanted to see the return of the famous Speed Muscle team in the UK and we have picked two HUGE opponents. Susumu Yokosuka and CIMA, who were partners in the Typhoon stable, will team together to create this Dream Team style match. CIMA and Yokosuka were opponents in the All Star tag match at the last event in Castleford, and the match was a pefect end to the 2013 tour. Last Sunday, Yoshino and CIMA were on opposite sides in the "International Dream Team Match" with partners Matt Sydal and Ricochet, Yoshino got the victory over CIMA and that isn't to mention that on the second night of the UK tour, CIMA and DOI will square off in a huge singles battle. There is a lot of history, alot of pride and everything to fight for. Four unit's are represented and another All Star Match is on the cards!

Remaining Night 2 Matches

N2_Yoshino_Hulki.jpg

BxB Hulk v Yoshino

BxB Hulk and Yoshino were team mates for the first two UK tours, and partners in the main event to the first Broxbourne event in 2010, before Hulk's turn to the darkside. Having been part of the World One stable these two know each other extremely well and Yoshino is a former Dream Gate champion and as of Yesterday "The Darkside Hero" Hulk is now the current champion. This is an excellent first time contest in the UK and both men will be very eager to walk away with the victory.

Opening Contest

N2_Three_Way_Tag.jpg

Uhaa Nation & Rich Swann vs Lion Kid & Will Osprey vs Mark Haskins & Marty Scurll

A crazy 3 way tag team contest has been signed for Saturday July 26th. Four Team UK members doing battle which could have some serious ramifications as should either Lion Kid or Marty Scurll lose on Night 1, they could face elimination in this match up. Something else which makes it even more interesting is that wth Swann & Nation in the match, then their opponents from the previous night could in theory score a second victory over them and eliminate them from the company.

That aside what a talent filled match with too much quality to break it down. Alot of backstory too! Osprey and Swann have faced off in RPW, Haskins recently faced off against Uhaa in the UK, Scurll and Haskins have tried to wage war on the Lion Kid and Osprey numerous times in the Wrestling Store live events in the last year and as mentioned LK v Nation and Mark Haskins/Scurll will have faced Swann in the previous night's main event. Could be a heck of an opening contest!

This looks awesome! When it was said another guy was going to be announced I had a feeling/hoped for Uhaa Nation!

Cards look great! Can't wait now. I might be missing something but was the second half main event for night one announced already?
