When I first saw Derrick Bateman I thought he was a future megastar. Dunno why and I'm probably wrong but we'll see I guess.

I can see why you thought that. He has a decent look (physique is very impressive), he is decent in-ring and seems to have charisma. He could definitely do something of note, if given the right gimmick/push/angle etc. A good all-rounder.

Yeah I thought Bateman had a really cool look. Shame his USA Guy thing hasnt taken off. On a similar note I really thought Johnny Curtis could have been a star. Then he started pouring milk over himself. Still time I suppose though.

Did anyone see the recent "Where is he?" return video for Bateman on NXT? I thought it was class. There deffinately something about him.

He might think that because of the incident in California a few years ago, when a Sikh guy was killed by a bunch of moronic thugs who thought he was Muslim solely on the basis of his wearing a turban.

As funny as that story is, it's irrelevant. Much like those stories that people respond to with "only in america lol" it doesn't really mean anything because the actions of a small number of idiots are not indicative of a country on the whole (except them savage ones burning flags and hitting things with shoes).

But it's odd that Lumber Weathers is unaware that this country has plenty of clueless inbreds as well, considering he is one of the biggest pieces of evidence supporting that fact.

Oh, I'm not saying that that is actually the case; simply that that might be his reasoning.

Those small number of idiots are the ones who acted on this suspicion.

Jinder Mahal will NEVER have a face run because of the fact he is brown and wears a funny hat......i guarantee this

Without a doubt, Titus O'Neil.

You just need to listen to the commentary on him to hear how they're already gushing over him. And not in a Shelton Benjamin way either. They are really putting him over as a superstar, and i believe them. He seems to be someone who Vince would love too.

People saying Jinder Mahal and Dean Ambrose need to have a word with themselves. Dean Amrbose hasn't even been on TV yet and Jinder Mahal is awful.

Before we get to the inevitable "O'Neil Era" ;-) Daniel Bryan is probably the most likely man.

Its a heel's job to be a dick but its not WWE's job to anger masses. The Hassan thing that ended his push was filmed the same day as the London bombings and it was deemed a terrorist attack on Undertaker.

Not to be pedantic but the angle was filmed BEFORE 7/7. It was Sky who showed it on (or a day after) 7/7 and failed to edit it out who should get the blame IMO.

But yes, I agree the whole Muhammed Hassan was very badly handled.

For an 'alternative' look like cm punk I'd say Seth Rollins or Corey Graves (Sterling Keenan) stand a bit of a chance but not sure of being 'the man'.

in FCW Roman Reigns (used to be Leakee) has a kinda Rock look about him but not sure how if he's any good in-ring or can talk.

I'd say as much as the look, skills etc its about gimmick or being used in a way that grabs attention, Daniel Bryan could easily have been another Superstars guy like Kidd, Gabriel but with the right hook he's one of the most over guys now.

Can people stop suggesting small, or funny looking guys?

There are some obvious criteria for what The Man needs to be:

6 foot +

Built like a bodybuilder

Tough looking

Good talker

Great at media appearances

A gimmick that can shift millions of merchandise items

Able to be a long-term face

Must be American or possibly Canadian

If you're short, ugly, uncharismatic, look like as short-order cook, speak in a foreign accent, then forget it. You might get to be champ; you might get to headline Wrestlemania; but you'll never be The Man.

Exactly!

The next "Da' Man" in WWE, probably isn't even on the roster as of yet. With Guys likes Punk most people love him, but due to the way he has been portrayed in WWE / his overall improvements in all areas , John Cena is much more over. He may not be the fan boys choice, but Cena really does eclipse CM Punk in every single department , IMPO.

The next "The Man" will be somebody who fits that description, and is a team player. He will instantly be pushed to the moon. Of the entire roster, Ryback half meets that description at the moment, with maybe Titus O'Neil coming a bit closer.

But he's probably the best-looking guy on here!
