Will add my thoughts for the show when more alive, as currently am dead, long day equals broken, doh.

Erm, re Eddie, Johnny and Elgin, they turned up around 11pm ish all of them looked gutted about not making it to be fair.

Various people at the event said that it was the promoters fuck up re flights, didnt get a chance to speak to Eddie, Johnny and Elgin to find out, but the look on their faces said it all.

Zack, was in good spirits had a little chat with him whilst he was setting up some merch, home for xmas to rest and heel up and probs off abroad again next year.

As for the money stuff, Fludboat knows what he is doing, he wouldn't run PCW at a loss and if it was an issue, then the imports wouldn't happen. The higher tix prices covered the show yesterday. Again afaik re the MVK figures signing it's Ben rather than Fluds.

I especially appreciated the afternoon show taking place as I had other commitments on Sunday evening.

I thoroughly enjoyed the early show matches and the Q&A.

I felt that Masters, Morrison & Eugene were refreshingly honest and unpretentious in the way they responded to the questions and entered into the spirit of the occasion with humour and friendliness.

I am only sorry I couldn't stay for the evening show.

Thanks to Mr Fludder for what must have been a tremendous amount of work to put on another successful event.

Also the crowd of 800, although I don't think raised enough money for that kind of imports, surely can be seen as a success, even more so if a lot of them turn up to the next shows.

Its not just about the ticket sales.

I know loads of people will buy the blu ray or dvd, if they couldnt make it etc

Thanks very much for the ale tips Pat, went in that Tundra Bar and it had some cracking stuff on so cheers. Nice idea for Christmas that place and the whole market was worth a look round too, is that there for Christmas too?

Really enjoyed the day, pre-show was a fun warm-up with the masterlock challenge probably being the highlight. Main show was very good all the way through, with Zack vs Ligero, Masters vs Travis and Morrison vs Dar being my highlights. The latter two were quite a refreshing change as they were more WWE style in their execution for obvious reasons yet still cracking matches that went back and forth with plenty of impressive moments. Showed that less is more can still create matches that are just as well received as the more risk heavy matches. All 3 imports were great and did the job of putting the promotion, fans and wrestlers over very well and very honestly.

People comparing to 1pw, comparisons to early 1PW in the early days is surely not a bad thing if you want to make waves. There are fundamental differences he's making a profit, sure I read on here he was making enough to be able to do this full time. And the imports are used properly (with no TNA involvment). Its not import A v Import B in an ok match. Its import v the best uk talent. Where the imports have gone all out to put over the uk guys and they have more than held their own. I don't want the stars to go over I want to see a competitve exciting match where I can get lost in it and am not sure who is going to win.

However Lashleys announcement was met with silence. Does seem a waste (we'll see) can't think who he'd face. I guess with Mark Sloan announcing his announcement. Fludder just wanted to give people another reason to come to PCW. It was certainly shocking to find Bobby Lashley was coming. But more of a "Really", Why" sort of way. Nobody I knew was psoitive about it, but in the smoking area I heard some more casual fans who were very positive about it so maybe it will attract some more of them.

Was my first time at PCW and thorughly enjoyed the whole day, loved the setup and the crowd(the last year or so there is a new feeling in the crowds for me Progress, Fightclub, PCW have some of the most passionate crowds in the world, we trually love this shit). I will be making the 5 hour journey again maybe even regularly, it was well worth it.

I thought the show was top notch and may be the best show I have attended live from a atmosphere and consistent match quality standpoint. I could wax lyrical about it but I think most comments/points have been covered already. I would like to say that my highlights included a Guidedog called Watson, a lad LIVING THE Sting gimmick and Dave Rayne.

Bit of an odd result having Noam Dar beat Joey Hayes. Joey Hayes is going to WWE so should be perceived to be the better wrestler than Noam Dar going with the logic if wrestling was real kerping to Kayfabe that WWE would want to hire the wrestler that wins more. This echoes for the night time show also if Lionheart beats Joey Hayes tonight it reads results wise that Noam Dar and Lionheart are better wrestlers than the guy that's going to WWE so doesn't make sense to me?

I suppose they could do it Dar beats Hayes to give Dar a rub saying you will be following me soon to WWE and have Hayes beat Lionheart and say that Lionheart pushed him to the limit on his last match before Lionheart retires but just came short and have Lionheart put Hayes over on the mic as the better man and bow out gracefully like he done at BCW?

I have just seen this. This post is tongue in cheek, surely?

No idea if the market is there for xmas or not. Glad you liked the Tundra Bar, Conti is a cracking pub and well worth a visit in its own right. Preston has a load of decent ale places. Inc The Black Horse, Bittersuite, The Market Tavern, The Conti, Wellies (has Jennings and stuff on tap) and a few others Ive probably forgotten. Even The Adelphi has a few on tap these days. I ended up in Wellies with Victorian Porn (I'm serious), decent scran, and beers as well as multiboard cab as well inbetween shows with BennyHG and assorted others. Huzzah

Pretty good show with some solid matches. Travis/Masters was pretty good, the opener was cracking and Mastiff/E-Gene was lots of fun. Great to see less twatty fans in the crowd this time round. I really disliked the tag match I'm not a fan of Disco Madness at all. T-bone looked brilliant though. I would have loved to see some more MOB and Fight Club aswell

I felt sorry for a poor family stood behind a group of people who couldn't see a thing. Plus I really don't feel the shows are family friendly. I wouldn't be happy bringing any of my nephews or neices to somewhere with the atmosphere of PCW. Maybe put Parental Advistory on posters? I really liked the show starting at 6.30 and finishing earlier aswell so I hope this can be something permanent. The after show drinks was a good idea but it would have been nice to see more people there. Got speaking to Elgin and Edwards who are both cracking guys.

Just to echo what a lot of people have said, a fantastic show and a fantastic night. Personally I was only in my hotel for about six hours, but it was well worth it.

On Elgin, Moss and Edwards - from chatting to the guys it seems there was confusion/miscommunication over the flight bookings, which were later than was expected/required, hence the match getting moved to the main show. After that, weather and flight delays meant the guys literally arrived 5 minutes after the end. They certainly made up for lost time though, Edwards in particular enjoyed himself after the show!

Can't say how amazing it was to see how down to earth all the guys were, the imports were clearly there to work and all the talent were up for chatting to fans. Doing shots with Elgin, Edwards, Zack and John Morrison is something I won't forget quickly - not least because of the hangover!

Excellent show, best one I have seen. Last 3 matches were incredibly thrilling and suspenseful.

I love Mad Man Manson, and laughed so hard when he danced with and then kissed T-Bone.

Righty a longerish write up re Festive Fury/Before the Fury

Before the Fury: A nice lil afternoon show was this. Attendance looked to be around 80-100 or so. The funniest thing in the queue was mentioning a wrestler, and then them suddenly appearing, this applied to Benny later on, odd didnt cover it.

These results arent in order

Manson lost vs Bubblegum after T Bone interfered- These two had a cracking comedy match. some football stuff chucked in and just generally a meta/deconstruction of a wrestling match. T-Bone continued his crusade vs Manson after his, sorry Spiderman's appearance in these two's match at the Halloween show.

T-Bone lost to Eugene- Good match this, wasnt expecting the world, but Eugene was good to work a double shift and was good to see him pull some great moves. Enjoyed this one. Eugene seemed decent enough as well in the smoking area. His wifi was causing him issues.

Trav beat Lionheart- Not as good as their previous two matches, but lots of respect and iirc there was some confusion over the finish with people saying there was a botch.

Joey Hayes beat Noam in a classic- I thought this was match of the preshow, lots of back and forth as the Wolverine, or rather Pickachu had a fantastic technical encounter. If this had been on an evening show, I suspect it would have more plaudits, but was one of the better matches of the night.

Dave Rayne lost Masterlock Challenge- Dave came to the ring with a Jump Rope and Baby oil. Dave basically crumpled before he got there and made light of the fact that things werent going to go his way in some great mic work. Masters looked to be having fun as well, clearly both guys were enjoying themselves. One of the best PCW segments I thought

Festive Fury

1. Dave Rayne wins the MITB over Sam Bailey, BT Gunn, CJ Banks, Martin Kirby & Dean Allmark- Great to see Dave Rayne cement his way forward in this match. Not as good as the previous years efforts, but good to see some quality guys going at it. At somepoint Dave may become PCW champion, this potential can only be a good thing

2. El Ligero beat Zack Sabre Jr- MOTN. Zack has always impressed in PCW, see the Blood Sweat and Beers 4-Way also. Great guns from both competitors

3. Disco Madness (Sam Bailey & Mad Man Manson) beat Bubblegum & T-Bone- With things going awry with flights etc, this was added to the card. The Manson T-Bone dance was great, Im not sure why some people thing MMM is wearing thin. I didnt see the end of this one, or if I did I cant remember it. Wasnt even drunk. However the Last Tango in Preston was funny

4. Joey Hayes beat Lionheart in his last match before retiring.- Many people pre and during the show, were expecting Lionheart to go over Joey in this match. was a good bit of back and forth in a good match, When Lionheart was going for the frog the 2nd time though, it was clear that he wasnt going to come away victorious.

5. Dave Mastiff beat Eugene- Gilligan Gordon, (Gloucesterite in Preston. It is end of days!) came out and became a heat building manager for his client, before the match started and the match went from strength to strength. I missed the ending as was being socialable and chatting with people

6. PCW Champion Kris Travis beat Chris Masters - I couldnt get into this for some reason, like both workers, it was on paper great, but I dunno it just didnt get going. Was the oddest thing, seeing as I had been looking forward to it. Everyone else loved it Masters looked like a million dollars, would be great seeing him again if he was to come over. Iirc there was a Dave Rayne Run in as well, was he trying to cash in MITB? I dont know I was chatting at the Merch stand.

7. John Morrison beat PCW Cruiserweight Champion Noam Dar (Non title) Noam had his 2nd blistering match of the night and this was a corker. Loved all of it was great fun and a cracking main that delivered on every level, fab stuff

Was good to see plenty of forumites, Richie Freebird, Twinn, Cheetah69uk, Cobystag, BigBenny HG, Patrick Madman Kelly and various others.

Top, top show, reignited my passion for the thing, nearly made the post show party as well, before me back decided to start niggling grr. Awesome!
