the prelims were really good...

* Gotta hand it to Nik Lentz, that guy was out to be lynched after the Andre Winner fight, ive never seen a reaction to a fight like i had to that one but since then he's been in some f'n barnburners. I was gutted the fight was stopped cause it was shaping up to be a bit of a classic. I can't believe Evan Dunham is 30! i thought he was like 23. It won't happen, but i'd like to see em do it again.

ouch.

* Had a feeling Lavar would finish Beltran, Lavar is just a bigger, more powerful version of Joey. No man in the world could survive them uppercuts, absolutely devastating. Talk is of Beltran retiring :(

* Can't help but love Mike Russow, the guy is the Matt Horwich of Heavyweight MMA. The guy isn't an athlete, he takes unreal punishment but he's just really good at imposing his game. I was surprised that Russow wanted this on the ground, but i was even more impressed that he stayed out of any danger. It was a boring fight, but i couldn't help cheer Russow along. I think that'll be the end of Einemo.

* Charles Oliveira's submission was insane, it looks like Wiseley's knee was destroyed. I seem to recall a similar submission one other time but i can't remember when it was. I think Oliveira's gonna be the business at 145.

* Cub Swanson must be gutted that Roop woke up when he hit the ground cause if that a clean KO he'd have taken the KO of the night. Great win for Swanson! There's been loads of reports of the shit that guys been through so it was great to see him get a good win.

prelims were really good.

Re - The Natural

Yeah there's always gonna be crazy submissions so I could see something maybe topping that. But the race for KO of the year is over imo, that ended the second Barboza's foot connected on Etim's head. I don't care what happens now I don't see how there can be a sweeter KO than that.

It was 'poifict' as Matt Serra would say. Like something out of Street Fighter or a Bruce Lee movie. I've seen them in K-1 (Badr Hari and Stefan Leko) but that was the first of its kind in the UFC.

I jokingly thought to myself that Dana is going to come out, say that 'the Judges got it horribly wrong and Bisping won the fight. We're going to pay Michael his win bonus and he gets the winner of Silva vs Sonnen'. I don't think this is the last we've heard of this.

This week's wrestling observer said Bisping is going to be a coach on the Ashes version of Ultimate Fighter and they're looking to do a deal with a major UK broadcaster to show it.

We're in agreement.

Think iit was Rafael Dos Anjos vs Tyson Griffin you're thinking of with the calf slicer Ebb. Dos Anjos had it pretty good but Tyson escaped.

Agreed on Lentz too, The Winner fight was shit but I think people were a bit harsh on him to be honest. It's not like he's having shitty fights all the time. His fights with Charles Oliveira and Rafaello Oliveira were great little fights too.,

Oh, I hope not. After the Mayhem season, I've pretty much had my fill of Bisping on TUF.

Much better to use it to give Hardy an easy win against someone and rebuild him as the number 2 UK fighter/draw.

Surely there is no way they could make one of the coaches a guy who has lost his last four fights, and in all honesty, really should no longer be in the company?

They had Ken Shamrock once.

Hardy would make for entertaining TV, especially opposite Matt Hughes, but like you say Magnum, he's lucky he's still in the UFC at all so I can't see them giving him the TUF gig too.

This country vs country TUF idea kinda makes it hard to pick coaches. They really don't have anyone from Australia who is really in a position to coach TUF imo. Who they gonna have? Kyle Noke? G Sot's injured and on a losing streak. Options are slim.

They might have to just choose a coach regardless of nationality for that one and have them coach the Aussies. It helps if the coach for Team Aus is from there but there's no rule to say they have to be I guess.

I wish it was Team UK vs Team Korea and have Ross Pearson and Chan Sung Jung coach. There's loads of unsigned Korean fighters and the UFC are trying to crack the Asian market. The fight between the coaches would be great too and the series could serve as a great build up to decide the next challenger for Jose Aldo's title.

It's all about money and Hardy has more upsides than anyone else in that regard if they can rebuild him.

I'm loving the idea of the Brazilian UF but I agree Australia is a nightmare and giving it to the croc hunter's bodyguard is a desperate measure.

Yeah what makes the Brazil TUF such an easy choice is 1) they have a load of big name Brazilian fighters they can have as coaches 2) the sport's really starting to catch on in Brazil and 3) there's a lot of new talent there, all the top gyms there like Nova Uniao are packed with young beasts who are dying for a break to get out of a shithole and better themselves. They see guys like Aldo and Dos Santos with titles and money and it drives them.

I'm sure MMA is catching on big time in Australia too, I see Aus as being in the situation the UK was in 2007 when the UFC came here. It's just starting to grow but at the minute there's not enough guys there who can cut it at UFC level. There will be in time but not yet.

I really think Japan or Korea would have been better choices opposite Team UK at the moment. There's so many good fighters in them countries that hardly any fuckers seen and with the current MMA scene over there being on its arse I'm sure them fighters would jump at the chance to get on TUF.
