So the missus is away on a hen do, and obviously I took the opportunity to have a Big Lebowski night, drinking a few caucasians and watching the cracking film.

When it hit me that 'Blonde Treehorn Thug' was Jacob from Lost.

Lost brings up quite a few classic TV actors in films, M.C Gainey being another, just wondered who folks' fave TV actors in films are? Or who that one actor everyone notices seems to be?

I'v only just noticed that 1 of the best T.V actors of the last 6 years get his chance to shine in film.

That actor being the great Kyle Chandler in Super 8.

If you're into HK movies from the 70s-90s, theres 6 or 7 guys that in almost every film ever made there.

Peter Chan must have been in more movies that any actor of that era.

When I watched Anchorman at the cinema, I got chuffed seeing Seth Rogen as a glorified extra a few times in it. I'd only watched Freaks and Geeks about six months earlier.

Not 'films' as such, but I've noticed on the reruns of Quincy recently that Busmalis from Oz crops up quite often as one of his mates when he's womanising in the bar.

Jimmy Nail pops up in "The Howling 2" as an American punk rocker with a big f*ck off mohawk for some reason. Terrible Yank accent.

Always remember watching Sexy Beast for the first time and thinking how weird it was watching him thrashing around taking it up the arse off James Fox when all I'd see him in before was Lovejoy pissing about with that old bloke he was always with

Jacob was also Hogan's crippled little brother Randy in No Holds Barred.

Not sure I'd call him a "TV actor" more than a movie actor but I'm pretty sure Robert Prosky turned up in just about every American TV show and movie ever made, though that might be a slight exaggeration

Think the Indiana Jones films (First 3) are great examples:

Ronald Lacey - Porridge (Harris)

Pat Roach. Played a part in all 3 films - Auf Pet (Bomber)

Michael Sheard - On The Buses, Auf Pet, Grange Hill
