Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted August 22, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted August 22, 2012 They have never released the famous war games 92' match have they? Don't think it's been released on DVD. War Games 1991 (Horsemen & Larry Z vs Sting, Steiners, Pillman) is on Pillman's DVD though.
watuworriedabout
The fact they can now use unblurred WWF logos and refer to the WWF is huge. They spend hundreds of thousands on blurring all of it out over the years. The new sets of the older releases will be much more improved now. wrestlingmatters
Never knew Yokuzuna and 1-2-3 Kid ever had a match, was it any good or just a Yokozuna squash.

KingOfMetal
I'm not sure if the Fan Favourites sets are a) scrapping the barrell or b) pandering to ultra-nerds who do "un-boxing" on youtube. Â The only thing marginally interesting on there might be Lugar vs. El Matador in a strength vs. speed match, and despite a Bret/HBK match, unless its some kind of massive hidden gem thats never been released before (highly unlikely) wouldn't warrant any kind of repeat viewing
The King of Old School
Is the Savage/Flair match on the Fan Faves set the title change that happened just before Bret took the belt from Flair?
PSF
I had the 1995 one on video when I was a kid. The Owen/Neidhard Vs Bret/Bulldog match was very good.
Paid Members air_raid Posted September 6, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted September 6, 2012 Is the Savage/Flair match on the Fan Faves set the title change that happened just before Bret took the belt from Flair?  No. It was taped in June 1992 and has a bullshit non-finish, IIRC. The only home release the title change features on is Year In Review 1992, which as we have discussed, will never be released on DVD.  The only thing marginally interesting on there might be Lugar vs. El Matador in a strength vs. speed match, and despite a Bret/HBK match, unless its some kind of massive hidden gem thats never been released before (highly unlikely) wouldn't warrant any kind of repeat viewing  The Bret/Michaels match is the same one featured on Invasion of the Bodyslammers and as an extra feature on the rivalry DVD. It's a good match apart from a bit of a disappointing finish. Sherri looks her slutty best. It's pipped however by the Hart/Fatu WWF title match. It's an OK tape. Perfect vs Taylor is decent. Undertaker/Bam Bam is notable for some cracking selling from Bigelow in the mold of "what do I have to do to beat this cunt." And you'll have a laugh at the Undertaker/Mountie match.  I had the 1995 one on video when I was a kid. The Owen/Neidhard Vs Bret/Bulldog match was very good.  It was decent enough. There are a couple of perplexing choices on that one. Luger/Tatanka is mind-numbingly boring, and there is ZERO suspension of disbelief in the Lawler/Undertaker casket match. Most of the decent matches come from TV, and the two best matches for me are the Kids matches with Owen from an episode of Action Zone, and a really good cat and mouse match with Yokozuna as Glads has illustrated.  I'd still get this if you can get it for a fiver. KingOfMetal
Just seen this through Joey Styles' twitter account. Intrigued by the Goldberg set, don't know what kind of relationship he has with WWE these days.
