Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted January 26, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2016 Might as well post this here: Junkie XL popped up a track from Deadpool on Soundcloud! It’s really quite lovely and that has to be an homage to ‘Beat It’ in there... https://soundcloud.com/milanrecords/tom-holkenborg-aka-junkie-xl-maximum-effort
Rey_Piste
So here's all the relevant Super bowl trailers. Civil War https://youtu.be/0L7iH3foZU0 Another Deadpool teaser. https://youtu.be/1JcaAlQbEwU X-men: Apocolypse the choice of music could make this go into the Hive Heating thread. https://youtu.be/mnu06cIUpMs Turtles 2, only putting this in here because of the shots of the Terrodome and Krang. https://youtu.be/5VpUTb3Ex_8
Mr.E
The Civil War and Xmen trailers got me fairly hyped, even though they are short. I'm cautiously optimistic for this year and superhero movies this year.
Paid Members CoreyVandal Posted February 10, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 10, 2016 Just back from Deadpool. Loved it. If I was going to nitpick then I'd say the plot was pretty thin and it felt like I already knew everywhere the film went from the trailers (but I guess thats true of a lot of modern film trailers). But other than that it was extremely well executed and genuinely funny. The action scenes were fun, very Edgar Wright-ish I thought with a slight tongue in cheek to it.End credits scene confirmed Cable "with full on time travel". Scene felt very cheaply & quickly filmed, I'd imagine it was literally thrown in within the past week or two
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted February 10, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 10, 2016 We got the Ferris Buellers Day Off post credits scene where Deadpool comes out, bathrobe and all, and says something akin to “Were you expecting Nick Fury to show up”. Who played Cable? This is very interesting
d-d-d-dAz
Yeah, the advance screening didn't get the actual post-credits scene, according to a bunch of places today. They saved it for general release. God knows why.
2Xtreme_lives
Not directly Comic Book related but has anybody been watching Stan Lee's Lucky Man. Quite enjoying so far but not sure why I do. What does everyone else think of it
Mr.E
Relating to Deadpool: Was Wolverine/Hugh Jackman In it? And how does it, if it does at all, fit into the x-men "universe"?
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted February 10, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 10, 2016 He doesn’t show up, but he’s referenced and you see his face on a magazine cover. Deadpool also puts on an Aussie accent and mentions pleasuring Wolverine
Paid Members air_raid Posted February 10, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 10, 2016 Turtles 2, only putting this in here because of the shots of the Terrodome and Krang. Is that what it's getting called or is that a typo for Technodrome?

Juan Manforce
We got the Ferris Buellers Day Off post credits scene where Deadpool comes out, bathrobe and all, and says something akin to “Were you expecting Nick Fury to show up”. Who played Cable? This is very interesting It was just a continuation of that scene where he says Cable will be in the sequel but he hasn't been cast yet, then lists a few names that could play him. Obviously none of them will, which is part of the joke. I'm guessing it was filmed at the same time but split into two parts so word didn't leak before release. Enjoyed Deadpool quite a bit. It was strange how small in scale it felt, but that's more a problem with superhero films in general these days all feeling like the world is at stake. Rey_Piste
Just watched Deadpool and it was joyous. I really want to go see it again, because I am sure that there are some background references I missed. Much like Airplane, the film is chock a block with stuff going on. You know a film is good when people are giggling during the opening credits sequence.
pryko
Watched Deadpool last night. Brilliant. Watching it again on Monday now I ahve a Cineworld Card.
Rey_Piste
One more thing about Deadpool. Was the end fight supposed to be taking place on a SHIELD Helicarrier? That's what it looked like, but they obviously didn't want to use any symbolism.
