What a fucking dick. The crowd clearly weren't prepared for anything like that and he made no attempt to rally them around to catch him. He just launched himself at a load of unsuspecting people. He's lucky he didn't kill someone, or himself. I've no idea how famous/rich the guy is but the girl with the broken arm could be quids in here.

Trivium have announced that they will play a special performance of the set they played at their legendary first Download Main Stage appearance in 2005... but on the Red Bull Stage!

 

Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto explains, "We are thrilled to be returning to Download for our 5th time. In honour of both the festival and fans that embraced Trivium first, we have decided to play our 2005 set list from start to finish, preceded by a set of some our other festival favourite tunes.

 

"However, to make it all the more unique, we will be playing this "one time only" set on the Red Bull Stage, the most intimate and intense setting possible for revisiting this special moment in time. We have had some of our best experiences as a band on the hallowed grounds of Donington, and this is shaping up to be one of our most exciting ones yet! Do not miss it!"

And Status Fucking Quo! Still not convinced to buy a ticket, but got to say, if you'd asked me to try and predict the lineup, Status Quo would never have been on it

does anyone see the point of Trivium doing that? If you wanna see an intimate Trivium show, goto one of their own gigs. They're advertising it as a tribute to their original Download appearence too...but that was on the main stage, so why get crammed into a smaller tent, promote it and probably cause the biggest crush of the weekend? It makes no fucking sense. Just put em on the main stage!

 

...im no Trivium fan but i was at the 2005 set and it was pretty fucking epic, there was a genuine sense that they were gonna be the next big thing. Then they ballsed it up by putting out crap records.
