GalaxyV.2
Maybe he can do a wrestling style sitting in the front row watching his opponents.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 18, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2012 I'm curious about the Hankey switch. He would have made a great addition to the PL which was speculated around the PDC World Championships. Has this been a missed opportunity to not have included Ted in this event instead of Painter perhaps, purely from a ratings perspective? Â Yeah, I definitely think the PDC regret not hanging back for a fortnight and having the ability to give Hankey Kevin Painter's wildcard. Hankey vs Premier League Crowds is going to be a joy to behold when he gets his inevitable wildcard for the 2013 PL.

Magnum Milano
Today's qualifiers for the Pro Tour from Qualifying School are:  Richie Howson Darren Whittingham Andrew Cornwall Tony West  So, only West of the so called 'names' gets through after Day One. Gotta admit, I've quite enjoyed following this over on TSOD today.

Magnum Milano
A couple of big names progressed to the Pro Tour from today's Qualifying School.  Steve West Kurt Van de Rijck Stuart Kellett Michael Barnard  Dean Winstanley went out in the equivalent of the semi-finals, losing to the guy who Kellett beat to make the Tour. Dai
Who caught the first night of the Premier League? Was one of the best PL nights that I can remember. You had a very good Hamilton/Wade match, followed by some vintage Barney action. Skip past how abysmal Anderson played, and lets talk about how great Taylor/Lewis was. The Sky commentators/presenters love to call every other darts match a "classic", but they had reason to do so with this match. Â Taylor being 4 or 5 nill down, not even having a shot at a double, whilst averaging 100+ must be the first time in history it has happened. At this point you had the Taylor fightback, where he went mental on the T20's, and shot his average up to 115. Amazing stuff, and scoring that you rarely see on TV. sockospice
I went last night, and the crowd went mental at Taylor's comeback, some of the best scoring there I've seen in ages. Anderson wasn't particularly good, Wade seemed more interested in playing to the crowd for the most part. I think Whitlock could be a challenger this year. jimufctna24
I went as well. Â Unfortunatly two fights broke out during Taylor and Lewis, one right next to me at the top of the lower tier, two guys got a right kicking. I also had to put up with the racist comments of some fat old midget infront of me. Â Aside that I had a good night, the Taylor vs Lewis game was the best I have seen live, the crowd were deafening for Taylor at some points and the boos for Lewis when he was throwing for a draw were mental. Â Whitlock vs Barney was another stonker overshadowed by the Taylor vs Adi classic. Hamilton also played well and Painter coming out to Just Cant Get Enough got me going. Â Good night all in all, shame a few nobheads had to try and ruin it.
undercover elephant
Wasn't Taylor 6-1 down at one stage? Could be wrong. I know he was 5-0 down, but that was some comeback from The Power. Never in my life have I wanted a player to beat Lewis in a game of Darts like Thursday night! Can't stand Lewis for some reason. Â Wade just doesn't look interested one bit, and The Hammer made him pay and well done to Hamilton on his PL debut. The same for Painter. He settled down after racing into a 5-0 lead, but Ando fought back but by then it looked too late. Whitlock and Barney was the match for me. Both played solid Darts and looked really good. Â It will be interesting to see how Gary Anderson plays next week in Aberdeen against Andy Hamilton. Wouldn't be surprised to see Hamilton win two on the trot. Dai
Anyone kept up with the PL the last few weeks? The main thing to happen has been Taylor's continued run of form. Last week, it was a 112 average against Barney (who has also looked better the last few weeks than Ive seen for a long while), and last night it was an absolutley insane 117 against Whitlock. The second highest average in TV darts history they said. The thing is, Taylors been so good the last few weeks, that it didnt even feel that special that he had a 110+ average for most of the match. Crazy standard. Â Â Apart from that, Anderson has looked solid the last few weeks, as have Barney and Hamilton.

Was surprised how Gary Anderson slaughtered Adrian Lewis last night. 8-1!

C/WMark Please!
R.I.P. Jocky Wilson, a true great of the game. Â He has suffered lung disease for the last 5 years if not longer.
undercover elephant
Nice quote from The Power. Said that one time Jocky was wearing his false teeth whilst playing a game of Snooker, then asked someone to clean the white ball and marked it with his teeth!! Â Legend that was Jocky Wilson.
