  1. I don't think its solely the fact that he does loads of suplexes that people are bored of. For me, its the fact that the majority of his major matches tend to follow the exact same structure of German, German, German, F5, kick out, F5, kick out etc. Personally, I find the entire package stale.

  2. Could not give a shiiiiiiiiit about this card. Product is ice cold and the card itself looks insanely boring to me. If this was in my back garden I would close the curtains tbh.

Just looking at the names on the card and its actually quite scary. What haven't WWE botched so far this year?

Seth - Won the title from Brock at Mania but is probably less over than ever after an utter failure of a title run. Contributed to his own demise with his bizarre Twitter meltdown to be fair.

Reigns - Has been a total non-factor ever since he returned. Imagine having someone who looks like that, can work, can talk, is related to The Rock, has a decent part in what will be a huge movie this summer and LITERALLY SURVIVED CANCER and you still cant get it right.

Brock - Who cares at this point really? I love Brock but theres only so many times I can see him make sporadic appearances to do loads of suplexes and F5's without it becoming stale.

Becky - LOL. Basically every single moment from the botched Mania finish until now has been a misfire.

Kofi Kingston - I get that people like him and he's been around for years and The New Day is an over act and the match with Bryan was very good etc....but come on. He's still doing the pancake gimmick and having tedious mid card title matches with Dolph Ziggler of all fucking people. Does anyone in their right mind think that this is a good world title run? Any momentum after Mania hasn't been capitalised on whatsoever.

Randy Orton - This man first won the world title at SummerSlam FIFTEEN YEARS AGO and his act really hasn't changed much since. To put that into perspective, imagine the headliner of Summerslam 1998 was also a headliner in 1983. Bob Backlund vs Triple H for the IC title in the co-main event for example. Mental. They also seem to be playing off a brief feud from years ago that surely very few people even remember.

For real, though. I'd pop like fuck for the Big Shot to come back and start a potato offence crusade against dull midcard lifers each week on Raw.

    That would be incredible.

Just imagine Miz and Ziggler in the ring doing an absolute cliché of a wrestling promo. Taking turns getting their lines in while the other one stands there like an idiot.

All of a sudden...HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?! hits. Holly comes out, still jacked and tanned, oiled up, huge tribal tattoo etc. Just gets in the ring and stiffs those tedious little bell ends into oblivion. Doesn't even lead to a match.

  4. I don't think its that aggressive. It's not like anyone is going CONFRONT YOUR ABUSIVE FATHER AND POST ABOUT IT ONLINE! PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN! (maybe in the DMs tho?)

If someone is posting semi-regularly that they are having suicidal thoughts and their dad is the problem, I think suggesting that they try speak to their dad OR make a real effort to leave home is reasonable.

I also don't think anyone claimed to be a professional or made any comments that could be perceived as actual qualified advice. It's just common sense.

Deathmatch wrestling is still strong in the US

So whilst you probably won't see the amount of bloodshed and destruction that happens on these (very popular) shows, the deathmatch guys are working hard to get rid of that stink left by the likes of CZW and IWA-MS.

    Could you expand on that?

Not being an arse here, just wondering what sort of crowds these dedicated DM shows are drawing roughly? It's all relative as its never going to be anything but niche.

Is there a big audience for scrawny lads doing deathmatch?  Legit question.  Because this is a company that wants to build a new brand, so I can see the appeal of guys like Cody and Moxley, Jericho, Omega, Awesome Kong... they all have significant tv time in prominent organisations, bring dedicated fans and the like.

Are Darby Allin and Havok bringing a significant demographic to AEW?  Because if not, I think they might actually put OFF casual wrestling fans or potential fans.  To me, they reek of the Indies in that Johnny Kickpads way.

I reckon AEW need more focus in their product, which will totally come once they start regular tv and see what works and what doesn't.  I still think the lapsed fan, and WWE fan are their biggest potential tv audience.

is CZW's Tournament of Death still the biggest death match show in the US? If so, that seems to draw a few hundred people in a field in Delaware which absolutely reeks of bleakness to me. I cant imagine there is a huge number of death match ghouls out there just waiting for recognition.

I guess they just want these guys so they can cover as many styles as possible if they are going for a variety show vibe.

I am cool with brawlers but I would rather they look and work like total bad asses, not the most pathetic man in any given rock club.

  7. Just to expand on what @TildeGuy~! said about @Ralphy

I've just looked up the twitter content and recent posts include:

"Dad is out so I just went mad on food"

"My dad is doing his best to make me even more poorly again"

"Does anyone want to buy my Xbox One please? I am too scared to play it"  - (presumably because of your dad???)

"Eaten too much again cos of anxiety. I think if dads in I get nervous so eat a lot, regret it and feel like crying afterwards"

My question is, what is it going to take for you to do something about the relationship with your dad? Binge eating and obsessive work outs are clearly not the answer. You need to make an effort to improve this relationship or get your own place. Simple as that.

Also, you've lost weight because you walked 200+ miles. You also seem to be doing very thorough resistance and cardio workouts on top of all this. If you go a huge walk maybe skip the gym that day. If you hit the weights hard then you can pretty safely skip the treadmill sprints that day.

You have people giving you advice in this thread daily and all though you say you’ll take it on board you clearly aren’t, when people try to get you to open up about your issues with your dad you ignore them.

There are people in this thread with genuine issues and all I see when I read your posts are someone in their 30s who lost their job (you never mentioned how you were sacked, just that it was due to your mental health issues) and is making no attempt to try to gain new employment so they can move out of their parents house which is where your issues supposedly are.

If I was your dad I probably wouldn’t be so inconsiderate as he is but I would also expect my son to open up to me on his issues instead of just leaving the house late at night for hours on end with no explanation, I doubt you’re paying rent or helping out with your parents bills due to being jobless but then you go and buy a new X Box, it would piss me off too!

Now you can ignore this post and probably will but all of your posts in this thread make it seem you’re just looking for pity and people to feel sorry for you. Your Twitter account is exactly the same.

You seriously need to pull your finger out if you don’t want to end up on the street.

This post is my mood, vibe and energy.

I agreed that the punches were shit, pay attention. I enjoyed the touches like Janela shouting “I’ve waited 14 years” and the way Darby looked at Havok when he was approached.

Do you not understand what I’m saying? Have you only seen the gif?

Such a wildly passive aggressive post lmao.

I understand what you are saying entirely. I assumed your analogy implied that you were cool with the punches being embarrassing because the rest of the presentation was so strong.

All I am saying is that I disagree, the punches were horrifying but I'm baffled by the whole package that these lads bring to the table.

Yeah exactly, you can ignore the face if the body is spot on and know she’ll put the graft in. Yeah maybe in a perfect world she’d have a great face too, but if it is just a quick one does it really matter?

That's not the case here though.

These guys are throwing horrendous punches, look ridiculous and are not very good wrestlers either.

The brawl was pulled off perfectly other than the punches.

A bit like saying "yeah mate she's gorgeous apart from her face"

That was embarrassing and shit. I actually cannot believe the state of Jimmy Havoc.

  12. If I need to watch Sha Samuels at this show I am going to fucking snap bro.

I was expecting Okada/Sabre for this Royal Quest show but seems unlikely now after their G1 meeting. Maybe Ospreay upsets Okada on Saturday and gets a title shot in London so long as he doesn't destroy himself before then.

  13. Do you actually know what tests are administered and what the parameters are?

From what I read, the doctors said that Ladd was not dangerously de-hydrated. I would argue (actually I wouldn't really argue as I don't want to get drawn into an insanely tedious back and forth) that there's a difference in the risk between being really dehydrated for normal every day functioning and being dehydrated in advance of a fight against another professional fighter.

Sadly when it comes to the fight business, money talks. We see that all the time with things like Punk being licensed to fight, McGregor fighting Floyd, Liddells comeback etc. It would be so problematic to cancel a featured bout at 24 hours notice so its not going to happen unless its totally unavoidable. If the doctors check someone who looks a bit sketchy and the feedback is "well, they are probably not gonna die" then the promoter is obviously going to give it the old Axl Rose GET IN THE RING, MOTHERFUCKER!.

Personally I would rather not see shot or depleted fighters compete. Had Ladd not destroyed herself to make weight, the ref might not have been so cautious. She also may have absorbed the strikes better.

(Also plz plz plz plz PLEASE fucking PLEASE stop saying "the truth is...")

  14. You could easily raise enough money to pay a bunch of heavies to come round and intimidate your abusive dad into getting off your back for a bit.

Just to echo what someone else has said (and me in another thread) - you need to look at this from your dads point of view as well. Is he really genuinely abusive or just baffled? You don't have a job, you go out for no good reason in the middle of the night then you come home and gorge yourself on biscuits. He probably thinks you are selling drugs or have become a rent boy or something.

He would probably lay off if you made it obvious you were making a real consistent effort to get a job etc.

He's been like that for the past 7 or so G1 tournaments, win or lose. 2013 was probably his most insane year, overall.

Ishii is known as the G1 MVP and Spoiler

Lads, this is why I said GOAT.

Official that Ospreay and Ibushi is going ahead. Lot of delicious matches spread across Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

  16. Good to know that they can go "you are clearly absolutely fucked but your life isn't in immediate danger" and that's sufficient to let you fight.

Embarrassment of a main event on every level tbh. Everyone shat on it as a headliner, Ladd totally fucked herself up with the cut, De Randamie dropped her immediately and then a dodgy stoppage to top it all off.
