When the interviewer said "I love you too man" after Logan Paul said "I love you bro" clearly referring to Jake.

There's a revival of Party Down. Can't believe it's been 12 years.
The first ep is out (no idea how to watch it in a non illicit fashion). It's really funny although some of Jane Lynch's schtick could have stayed in 2009
Ken Marino makes me laugh before he's even said anything, he's so underrated.

The subtle difference between a garbanzo bean and a chickpea is I wouldn't pay £100 to have garbanzo on my face.

My only regret was not ponying up the $50 and getting a photo with Bob Backlund after Raw.
Me too! I went to WXXX and did everything but not getting that picture with bob backlund having me in the chicken wing truly haunts me, I thought about it 2 days ago. At least I found some solidarity now.

I'll add to the Croods 2 praise, those films were awesome.

Babylon BabyLONG more like innit.
It was lively enough to make 3+ hours not seem like a chore, I wasn't expecting it to be so raunchy and full on which was cool. Loved Margot Robbie going 75% Harley Quinn in a period piece.
I'm reading a book on the history of silent comedy at the moment so it was good timing to see something set in that period and I enjoyed all the filming scenes and the bits to do with the changing from silent to sound movies.
SpoilerNot defending that dodgy clipshow thing at the end though.
The Whale Mr Creasote the gritty reboot.
I don't really like sad emotionally manipulative dramas so initially tried to watch this as a comedy. 50 stone, gay, dying, crying Brendan Fraser just seemed like "going full" everything.
It was decent enough though, the redhead teen girl from stranger things was brilliant. Some of it was martyr drama nonsense that makes less sense the more you think about it and also the film is so claustrophobic it's like being in a dark smelly box that's 90% full of obese Brendan Fraser for 2 hours.
Avatar 2
I watched Avatar 1 for the first time since I saw it at the cinema and it was moderately better than I remembered so I was up for 2. 2 was the opposite of what I would have wanted from an avatar sequel TBH, I would have liked it to go bigger scale and more like a james Cameron sci fi war thing but it was more like a Sully family adventure with na'vi kids and stuff. It was fine though I guess and I assume anything that didn't seem to go anywhere will be expanded on in future films.
SpoilerLOVED Avatar Quarritch though, I was wondering how he'd come back and that was awesome. I liked the stuff with him and his human kid.
Lady Terminator
This was amazing, an ultra 80s cheap Indonesian B movie Terminator clone only with a cool chick Terminator. Some of the scenes are directly lifted from the Terminator like her shooting up a police station. However (and it's a big however) she's not a robot, she actually becomes a Terminator because an eel possessed by an evil goddess goes up her pussy.

Anyone ever been blown away by a support act that they never heard or before? I saw The Libertines in 2021 and they had a band called The DSM IV opening for them who I became enamoured with. The lead singer was just fascinating to watch. Although he did dedicate a song to the victims of Peter Sutcliffe which came out of nowhere.
That's the amazing Guy McKnight formerly of The eighties matchbox B-line disaster. DSM IV are great too but unfortunately don't seem to ne picking up as much steam as I'd hoped.

My fave is this guy who thinks Stephen King killed John Lennon, hes great, everything you'd want from a one man crackpot conspiracy theory.
Be warned, this is some hardcore rambling nonsense

Ruggero Deodato has passed at 83. Directed one of the most famous, and truly gross of the Video Nasties, and the first found footage movie Cannibal Holocaust.
I'm not upset about this. Killing real live animals for entertainment is the worst thing I've seen in a film. I was at a convention he was at and I nearly put my money where my mouth was and told him what I thought of him but I didn't want to cause a scene and miss my chance to meet Kelly Kelly later.

Merry Christmas keffers. Especially @Bellenda Carlisle- no more sleeps. Hope Santa sang “Leave A Light On For Me” last night.
Thanks uce. The only present I got was a Jade Cargill action figure I bought for myself so I don't think Santa passed my gaff.

There's only two movies I've ever seen that I felt were enhanced experienced in 3D - the first Avatar and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Obviously the latter was a great film in its own right but I really loved the 3D for it.
You obviously didn't see Drive Angry

That's my bag baby, can't wait for this.

I loved that film and I'm pretty certain they purposefully made Varg a shit loser and I think it worked really well.

Comics artist Kevin O'Neill.
Sad to hear this, my older brother is like his biggest fan so I grew up with him being a pretty big deal.
I'm particularly fond of the criminally underrated Marshall Law, it was doing shocking anti superhero stuff ages before the boys and the like and his art was perfect for it, being as ugly, fun and brutal as the stories. Nemesis the Warlock is also one of the most bizarre looking characters in comics history and shows of how mental Kev's style was.
He certainly was an acquired taste and I believe his art once received some kind of objectionable content warning despite depicting no offensive material just because of how it looks.

Brock's selling of his knee was something else, I don't know how the most dominant wrestler is also the best seller but everyone smaller than him should be ashamed.

That Billy Idol gig was last night, he was fantastic, definitely still has it.
The highlights for classic action movie fans were; they did "Speed" - their tie in song for the movie of the same name (That was a really nice surprise.) and Billy's long time guitarist Steve Stevens played a section of the Top Gun anthem (which he did for the film), it sounded most triumphant live.
Idol is the sort of artist with so many hits he can't play them all (he did play loads), he did 3 songs off his new EP which was pushing it but he was really earnest about enjoying writing and playing new material so I can't begrudge it. Doing a cover song towards the end was a bit much though, think 100% of the people there would rather see another Idol hit.
Didn't catch Toyah Wilcox

Did you catch Pupil Slicer, too? I saw them earlier in the year and loved them.
Yeah man, I'm pretty sure the only time I've ever heard of Pupil Slicer is you mentioning them here so I made sure to check them out, they were really cool. I'm a proper Liturgy fanboy though so I was just gagging to see them.
Liturgy were amazing but the gig was so tiny, normally that would be the last thing I'd complain about but they're so grandiose I'd love to see what they could do on a bit of a bigger scale.
