Yeah, not guilty for two rape charges and one of attempted indecent assault. Given how hard it is to get a guilty verdict it's probably still a good result for the prosecution. With new charges being brought the judge will have to give a fairly harsh sentence you'd think.

Has anybody played Godzilla Destory All Monsters Melee remastered? I've not played the original or any of the sequels but it looks tremendous basic fun. A wrestling game with monsters essentially. The roster looks a bit thin though, feel like there should have been more variations on the different monsters.

Get the feeling he won't be found guilty. It's so hard to prove and all it takes is one jurer to say well she should have said no louder.

The General Politics Thread v2.0 (AKA the "Labour are Cunts" thread)
westlondonmist replied to David's topic in Off Topic
I don't think that's just USA really though is it? Reform have said they would remove VAT on petrol and lower fuel duty by 5p. We may be racists and sex offenders, but you're petrol price will be low(er). Still polling at over 20% (wouldn't win many seats though). -
I feel you should never have so many titles that you can't even really defend them all on a PPV/special (whatever WWE call them now). Seems like both are stuck with that issue now. So many titles is obviously down to both promotions having to fill loads of TV time, and monthly big events etc and I completely understand why they went down this route but it certainly feels lazy at times. @Lion_of_the_Midlands I do agree, and often wondered when did main events suddenly become 30-45 minute specials? I don't think they need to be, not all the time anyway. I feel 23-30 became the WWE norm over 20 years ago, and remember Austin and The Rock rarely went above 20, but Okada vs Omega caused the near hour one fall marathon.

Depends, cheese and onion, union jack tickler's come at a premium.

I had a mock interview today to help get people to promote within. They gave me 3 questions in advance, and all 3 I'd been asked before so obviously they get asked at pretty much all interviews for the next level. They actually seemed surprised at how good my answers were. The one that went best was about projects I'd managed, previously I'd said the main project I'd worked on, but was only second in command of this £15m capital project (yeah only second), so got heavily disected. This time I just talked about a smaller one where I'd increased income for the council, they basically said the perfect answer in a council is giving an example of increasing income while not making it less accessible. Just for context it was replacing coin slots with card readers in public bogs and then increasing the price. Shame it wasn't real.

The Traitors UK discussion thread *SPOILERS*
westlondonmist replied to RedRooster's topic in Off Topic
Kind of feel the producers felt oh Richard E Grant as a traitor will be entertaining and that was their plan and it went tits up. Kind of feel he would have gone quickly anyway. Maybe their other plan was stick Hannah Fry in and the over 35 men watch. But overall feel the balance was wrong and nobody really caused a stir. -
Considering the pretty meh transfer window Everton are actually doing alright really. Small squad will probably be a bigger issue later in the season though.

Couldn't find a basketball thread strangely. Anyway went to see the London Lions yesterday, it was Eurocup rather than SLB but not sure that matters. Anyway it was great frantic fun. Against Turk Telecom, and wow did the away fans turn up. You could get family tickets for £30 which is pretty cheap for pro sport. I would definitely recommend people to check out their local team.

I like Lego Jurassic Park, but yeah to complete 100% you probably have to go through each level a fair few times. I've also played Star Wars Skywalker Saga. It's a much bigger game and some interesting side missions but I think Jurassic Park is the better game.

The Traitors UK discussion thread *SPOILERS*
westlondonmist replied to RedRooster's topic in Off Topic
I must say this is the worst Traitors I've seen. It's now on as my partner wants to keep it on but I'm not really fussed. Previously every series has had people you really don't want to win and people you really can get behind. You kind of need of need some to be Traitors. The two Traitors who aren't James Acaster are boring as fuck. -
The financial case is actually not very good. It costs the USA about $2-3m per execution, about triple the cost of sticking them in prison for 60 years. You've also come up with the worst crime immaginable in your head, but how would you stop it being given for less? Once you've introduced it, it will become more prevalent for other things. It's also not a detterant, and it's never been proven as one. In the USA, states with the death penalty have higher murder rates.

Yep, we all know Jannetty tried to dive through the window.

Sounds like NJPW tag team of Bad News Brown and Ivan Koloff.

I've worked at places that you don't have a clear line manager, and it can be achingly frustrating. Sounds like she's probably fucked off in general rather than at you, either it was supposed to be sent to you or forwarded to you and the relevant person did neither. I'd probably just offer to support to make sure it's done asap. For a while people at my work talk about these projects that they are working on. I actually realised they aren't working on any projects, it just seems to be a word people use when they are doing work but want to make it sound more interesting or bigger than what they actually do. Even if they are working on actual projects, I've found many of them struggle with actual day to day reactive work, which I mainly deal with and it sounds like you do and it's a skill in it's own right.

Yeah personally I think the Pugwash effect would be more suitable.

I think then maybe he's getting ahead of himself because of USG. While winning with USG was an achievement in the 10 years prior 5 different clubs won the league, so more competative. Average attendances are pretty similar amongst the top clubs there too (15-24k), so chances for similar income from match days and merchandise sales. I actually think if Hearts can keep coming 2nd or 3rd (which I think they will achieve this year) then that's perfectly acceptable for the first five years. Regular third place, cup wins and European football will allow you to sell and make a profit (as it seems Hearts took barely anything this summer). Coming second last season may have skewed your expectations but I think Hearts seem on a solid path. It's actually been a while since a team finished in the top 3 two seasons running (not Celtic and Rangers obviously). Even more rare that the other team has the two clubs looking over their shoulders, which happened last season. 25-26- Hearts 2nd 24-25-Hibs 3rd 23-24 Hearts 3rd 22-23 Aberdeen 3rd 21-22 Hearts 3rd 20-21- Hibs 3rd 19-20 Motherwell 3rd 18-19 Killie 3rd 17-18 Aberdeen 2nd 16-17 Aberdeen 2nd 15-16 Aberdeen 2nd, Hearts 3rd 14-15 Aberdeen 2nd, ICT 3rd

I think getting Hearts through the qualifiers was a pretty decent. Rangers had a easier route, larger budget and failed. Can't remember the last time a side outside of Celtic and Rangers navigated qualifying. Wracken might not be the guy to win Hearts the league but is he expected to? I think the ten year aim wasn't necessarily Bloom saying it's a failure if it doesn't happen. He's still in the cups and I think that's a better expectation and I think the league cup this year is definitely winnable. Hearts not win anything since 2012 (St Johnstone won 3 trophies since then) , I think concentrate on regular Europe with cup trophies. I also think any manager doing well with Hearts will be poached fairly quickly. So success will bring about some instability too.
-
I think he will struggle with his tactics playing 3 times in 8 days. It looks fairly high intensity. But he stuck with it post Benfica and Graz while there was pressure to change and it probably turned out ok. Actually think they play fairly similar to Celtic, which leaves them vulnerable on the counter. The difference today was probably Celtic just have better players.
-
Didn't see that coming, honestly wasn't even confident Celtic would come away with a point.
-
I suppose it's basically a B PPV main event to have fun with fairly big names, in that way it kind of works.
-
Yeah the cost is mental, considering I paid like £20 for a physical Cowabungs collection. You can get a more barebones one on evercade for £25 (orange cart too), with mega drive ports I believe.
-
I played Dizzy on the Evercade but hadn't heard of it prior. I think it's a bit of a non entity. Most of the games were a bit shit tbh, a couple fairly good though (the best one was an unreleased game strangely) so can understand why nobody really pushed for a resurgence. James Pond I had heard of though. Actually quite a fond memory of too. Such a small collection of games though, not sure how you can do an interesting compilation or documentary on it. Jeff Minter had loads of games and is an interesting character to boot.

UKFF Porn and General Filth Discussion
westlondonmist replied to IANdrewDiceClay's topic in Off Topic
Considering a large proportion of the people who watch bongo flicks will have a VPN I'd imagine the ban is pretty much meaningless.
