  1. It’s a big thing to admit that you may have (or be developing) a problem or need help, and I don’t doubt for a second that AEW are going to be getting him the best help possible, and hopefully he comes back better for it.

Just do yourself a favour and don’t read beyond Khan’s tweets in the thread, it unfortunately doesn’t take long for the mutants to come out.

Haha yes. People make fun of him for that but Jerry Mcdevitt tried to break him during these lawsuits but never could. They ended up settling and Nailz got the rights to his name and gimmick.

Which I’m sure has been very lucrative

The best Nailz-ism is from the Steroid Trial.

Laura Bravetti: “Isn’t it a fact that you have a personal animosity against Vince McMahon?”

    Nailz: “No”

LB: “Do you hate Vince McMahon?”

    Nailz: “Yes”

He broke his ankle last night so if he is coming it might not be for awhile.

Yeah that fucking sucks for him, he’s got a massive amount of buzz right now.

He’s not a spectacular wrestler, there’s tonnes of people who can do exactly what he can in the ring, but his persona/gimmick (whatever you want to call it) is just incredibly fun, something which Wrestling desperately needs a lot of the time.
Jericho latching onto his popularity isn’t a surprise

    Warner don’t own Ghostbusters either.

    Columbia Pictures owns Ghostbusters though?

Oh yeah so they do. When they’ve done this kind of thing in the past (like the Space Jam one from the previous Elite v Dark Order) it’s been for an IP that Warner own, so must’ve just assumed that to the case here.

    The more you know...

On the other hand, I hated Baker vs Abadon. Once you get past the gimmick, Abadon just isn’t very good.

It’s not even much of a gimmick. It’s just Bo Selecta Scary Spice

    ”I’m Abadon, I’m a right scary bastard, MMMMRRRAAAGGHH!...shit yourself, didn’t ya?”

There doesn't seem to be any definitive proof about this, but apparently this is the reason for them not airing Rampage.

Well Dynamite has just past the 2 year mark, so maybe ITV had originally signed a 3 yr deal.  As usual the ITV muppets don't seem to acknowledge any posts about AEW on social media.

    They don’t deserve wrestling

  8. Who the hell releases an album on a Sunday?

Last week was a pretty big release day with new albums from Dream Theater, Cradle of Filth, the reformed Massacre and 1914.
Dream Theater’s wasn’t bad but I’m struggling to remember anything standout from, whereas Cradle of Filth’s was pretty good and the drums sounded fucking huge in certain parts. I hadn’t listened to anything of them from in the last decade other than the remastered Cruelty and the Beast from a couple of years back, but I quite enjoy this new one.

New Mastodon album is out today though. Looking forward to giving that a go, but it’s another new album clocking in at nearly 90 minutes (their longest to date)

Thanks  I thought that was the case, I’ll have to bear that in mind in the future

It’s been years since I was with SKY, but I’m pretty sure you would have to keep Sky Movies (or Sky Cinema or whatever it’s called now) as part of your package in order to watch anything you’ve recorded. If you were to cancel the Movies part of your package, anything that you’ve recorded will be there until the cancellation notice expires, but then not available to view without it although it should remain in your planner and become viewable again if you adds Movies back to your package in the future

  10. That was definitely Buzz, the close up screamed “hey look! Someone from the original movies!”

Didn’t Culkin film some kind of teaser when they first announced it? I reckon he’s pretty much nailed to make a cameo, one that’s probably so short if you put it in the trailer they run the risk of having the whole thing there

  11. Only just got round to watching the show. Can’t wait for it to go back to Wednesdays.

I’ve nothing against Tony Nese, but he’s only getting the “free agent in the crowd” treatment because he’s mates with someone in the back. A solid hand maybe but an utter nobody in the grand scheme of things. If he just gets used as a guy on Dark or Elevation that’s fine, but he should never be anywhere near Dynamite or even Rampage.

We all knew that Cody was going to get a win at some point, but you’ve got to think that going three straight over him would’ve really set up Malakai for whatever he’s got coming next. Assuming that Hangman is winning the belt at Full Gear and facing the tournament winner in early December, an undefeated Malakai v Hangman feud in the new year as Hangman’s first full feud as champion could’ve been worth a go. The alliance between Malakai and Andrade that they had on Rampage is intriguing though, so hopefully it works out and he doesn’t lose his momentum.

Eddie/Archer was a fun scrap, shame about the ending and I don’t see why they couldn’t just call it off if Archer was losing anyway. If the guys got a potential head injury, sod what the booking is.

  12. So rumour going round, according to PWInsider so take it how you like, is that Becky and Charlotte got into it backstage about the belt exchange segment.

Long story short is that Charlotte before the show said she didn’t want her title to look weak, but agreed to the segment. The dropping of the belt apparently wasn’t planned and was Charlotte’s doing, so Becky took the huff and chucked hers which also wasn’t planned.
They’ve then got into a shouting match backstage withBecky accusing Charlotte of trying to make Becky look bad.

  13. The best ones are the ones who have “recently refamiliarised themselves” with the Nuremberg Code. Yeah, cos they’d definitely read it beforehand.

I bet at least one of them has phoned in to LBC
