According to Meltzer last week, theyā€™d sold a little over 50k for each night and had around 5k for each night remaining, so it appear theyā€™re not setting for full capacity* like they did last time. Even though itā€™s only been 6 years since they were last there Getting 55(ish)K to buy two nights worth of tickets is probably more achievable than convincing 100k to do the same
    Ā

*or whatever counts as full capacity when you factor in the entrance, aisleway, ring etc

What in the world are WWE going to do after this, when they can no longer rely on bringing in Attitude era/Ruthless Aggression era stars to sell tickets for Mania?Ā

You mean youā€™re not looking forward to Wrestlemania- Kingston v Ziggler: Sixty-Twice In A Lifetime?

  3. Metal absolutely has a shitload of gatekeeper knobheads, but like with most other fandoms theyā€™re the ones who just take ā€œbeing a metal headā€ to the point of that actually being their identity far too seriously and probably are not representative of the fandom as a whole.

Iā€™m not going to pretend that I didnā€™t go through the phase of thinking I was better than others because I didnā€™t just listen to the ā€œmainstreamā€ bands, I did and people will have been right in thinking that I was as an absolute arsehole because of it.

Nowadays I honestly couldnā€™t care less who anyone likes or listens to

    Are Kingsman films big hits?Ā

As @johnnyboyĀ said, moderate to big hits.

The first one grossed $414million worldwide in 2014, which for something that was relatively unknown outside of the comic reader bubble was deemed really well.Ā
The second grossed $410million, so although it didnā€™t do better than the first, which the studio wouldā€™ve hoped to have done, it was still a financial success.

This third film has only grossed $121million since release, with a $6million opening weekend in the US. Had it not been delayed by a year because of COVID it might have done better. When it was finally released it was up against Spider-Man: No Way Home which annihilating everything else at the time. Spider-Manā€™s US opening weekend from 2 weeks earlier was double The Kingā€™s Manā€™s entire worldwide gross to date

  5. Iā€™m lucky in that Iā€™ve pretty much gotten to see all the ones that I wanted to. The 1994 Hart Attack Tour ticked off a lot in one go with it featuring an Undertaker/Yokozuna Casket Match, Razor Ramon and Lex Luger taking on HBK and Diesel in the middle of the show, Bret, Owen and Bulldog all working the main event.

Then seeing New Japan when they came over here the other year allowed me to tick off Tanahashi, Naito, Okada and Suzuki.

Theres still a chance I could see Sting whenever AEW come over here, but the ones that got away were Ultimate Warrior, Jushin Liger and Great Muta.Ā
Warrior was obviously gone from WWF at the time and I donā€™t think they came over here during his short run in 96.
Back when 1PW where bringing over every man & his dog you felt as though they couldā€™ve got Liger over for a match at some point. I know he did end coming over a few times after that but it was always in places that wouldā€™ve required a stay over, which I just couldnā€™t afford to do at the time.Ā
Muta of course nearly happened for 1PW as well before it went tits up the week before the show

  6. West Side Story has been announced as available for streaming from March 2nd. It was a disaster at the box office (grossing less than $65million worldwide), they must be hoping Ā that people will watch it in the run-up to awards season

What made that match even worse from memory was after Lance was pinned clean, the ref said "it has to be a five count" resulting in Lance being pinned by three or four counts multiple times, this making him look weak.

But it did give us Schiavone saying ā€œAnd heā€™s kicked out at 4. What the hell am I saying!?ā€, so every cloud and all that.

In kayfabe it works to Stormā€™s benefit. Under ā€œnormalā€ rules he has to kick out by 2, whereas if heā€™s got till 5 under ā€œCanadianā€ rules, that gives him an extra 2 seconds recovery time on every pinfall that Awesome attempted. Had they done it anywhere else other than Canada it wouldā€™ve gotten great heel heat

'Security details' that look more like the local Boy Scouts on a field trip. At least make 'security' look like they could legitimately break up a fight rather than offering to shine your shoes for a quid!

But doesnā€™t getting broken up by the local branch of ShowSec make your wrestlers* look weak? Thatā€™s probably why weā€™ve had so many ā€˜full roster brawlsā€™ the last years

    * Granted, most refs are larger than the wrestlers these days, but perception

Just looked and I bought my tickets on 6th November 2019.Ā

With the state of inflation these will have doubled in value by the time she actually steps on stage.Ā

And accumulated a fair amount of interest from the account itā€™s been resting in

  10. Has anyone consulted that WWE Rule Book they sold on the shop a few years back? that should clear things up surely, they wouldnā€™t put something like that and not stick to it

Wasn't the 'someone outside helping eliminate someone' just a way for Hogan to do it to Sid in 92 and not make him look weak by being eliminated? That end always annoys me to that Rumble. Just have Hogan distract him not pull his arm.

If you want to get technical, itā€™s still Flair that eliminates Sid, Hogan didnā€™t pull him out on his own. I was never massive on Hogan to begin with, but how was he supposed to be a face after doing that. He got thrown out fair & square and throws a strope, fuck Hulk Hogan.

The rules of the Rumble differ depending on what the story they want to tell. Giant Gonzalez eliminated Undertaker in 93 despite not being in the whereas Vader threw a bunch of guys out after he was eliminated in 96 but everyone was allowed back in.

I do agree that a person should be in by the time the next person comes out though, otherwise everyone could just wait around outside.Ā
Maybe add a bit of drama by introducing a 10 count on the floor too if someone leaves the ring, theyā€™ve got enough refs out there
