  1. Is it a modern thing? Or has it always been that way? Like did people know that Den was giving Angie divorce papers back in the 80s? Or did that just play out unspoiled?

You only have to look at the last couple of series of Game of Thrones or the ending of The Sopranos to see what sort of a flap people get in when they don’t know what’s going to happen. Not putting the soaps on that same level on the, but if TV Times didn’t spoil things weeks/months in advance, just imagine that but every week

In the space of the last segment which was Kevin owens vs Seth rollins they had 4 ad breaks......2 of which came from KO coming out to Seth coming out. They literally went to break came back showed a promo then went back to ad.

Now it's frustrating watching it at home I can't fucking imagine how annoying it is for the guys in the ring and the fans in the building that have paid to be there

This isn't really important, but what was his last match?

    According to CageMatch:

June 17th 2016 - F1RST Wrestling Wrestlepalooza: DDT Iron Man Heavy Metal Title Match: Scott Hall beat Chuck Taylor (c)

  4. I’d read that he was to be taken off of life support, but it hadn’t happened by the time I went to bed. I knew that by this morning he would’ve gone but that’s still some horrible news to wake up to.

My best mate & I met through a love of wrestling, and for 20 years we’ve greeting each other with a “hey yo”. Whenever we’ve gone to gigs, we’ve always done The Razor Double Fists Pump to psyche ourselves up, and we’ve defused many a situation with the “oooh scary” fingers. I’ve no doubt that when people have seen us doing that they think we’re a pair of idiots, but Scott Hall is as much a part of our friendship as anything, and that’s never going to change

The opposite of this is any variation of "I'll explain on the way!", or two people arriving at their destination and then explaining why they're there and what they're doing. What were you talking about in the car the whole way that was so engrossing that none of this ever came up?

“I said ‘there’s no time to explain’, and I stick by that”

But Nicholas’ 1-0 is the best given that he won a title in every Mania match he every had and retired from the sport undefeated.

Sharing the accolade with peers such as Michael Cole. Little Beaver and Snooki. Lawrence Taylor did the same but he headlined, so he’s Mr Wrestlemania as well as Mr 56.

I'm sure there was someone else that had a sneaky long streak.

After a shallow dive on Wikipedia, I think Edge might be the closest as @air_raid mentioned. Takers Handicap Match at WM19 gets counted as part of the streak, so by that logic Edge would’ve gone 5-0 (winning at 16, 17, 18, 21 and 22) before not winning MITB at WM23. RVD, who was involved in multi team match at WM20 as well as an 8 man tag at WM24, is next closest going 4-0 on Wrestlemania PPVs, but did lose in a tag match on the WM19 pre-show, so his stopped at 1.

As far as active wrestlers go, no-one is better than 2-0. Baron/King/Happy/whatever he is now Corbin was on a 2-0 streak on Wrestlemania PPVs but lost in the WM34 Battle Royale, ending his streak at 2 and then he lost to Elias at EmptyMania 36 anyway.

Other than that it’s 3-0 for Demolition Ax, British Bulldog (who also has a draw on his record making him 3-0-1), The Road Warriors and Sable.

Didn't John Cena end up with a fairly long winning streak at Wrestlemania. People might have noticed that and gotten behind that.

Cena only got to 4 before being pinned in the triple threat at WM24

    Absolute insanity, this.

That completely rehabilitated Brock and the entire company has been built round him since.

In the fullness of time, I think Brock breaking the streak is the smartest decision they’ve ever made.

Absolutely. In retrospect, the mere idea of Old Man Taker not getting battered by the former UFC Heavyweight Champion fucking stinks.

  10. That bump Big E took was horrific. Already seen calls for Ridge Holland to be fired as if he did on purpose or something.

Big E posted overnight and seems to be in good spirits and able to move his fingers which is a good sign.

Fucking Butch though. It says something when you picture a notoriously moody looking sod looking unenthused

  11. It appears that Regal went long with his promo and has issued an apology

While I’m sure there would be very few who would hold it against him, that’s a classy thing to do on his part.
Personally I’m looking forward to the upcoming podcasts that he’s likely to appear on.

Any 'Keffer bold enough to buy it yet? It actually seems fairly decent. Nothing world breaking but at least it looks like WWE games are back.

Not for the price they’re currently asking. £60 on PS4! No thanks.

I’ll leave it a few months until the price drops

  13. Really enjoyed the Inner Circle “regeneration” angle. Could’ve maybe done with sending Hager packing too but you can’t have everything. Take Judas away from the fans and replace it with either another bad Fozzy song (there are plenty of them) or just something generic that the fans can’t singalong to and they’re right back at the top of the heel tree.

Those guys chanting What? at Eddie Kingston though, talk about having a death wish
