  1. The breakup of Every Time I Die has probably afforded him some extra free time too. He & Jericho getting into shape recently is kind of motivating for myself if I’m being honest

It makes sense from a booking perspective though, a short reign through to Mania weekend then put Bron over in front of NXT’s biggest crowd in 2 years

But isn’t it lessened by having had Bron already hold the belt (albeit for a short time). Granted, he can say that he wasn’t the one beaten, but nothing gets a face over quite like having a moan about being the victim of circumstance.

It’s the same as when they tried to crown Roman at WM32. He got the confetti and the fireworks to close the show, ushering in this new era & champion, and all you had to do was ignore the fact that he’d already won and lost the belt twice in the 5 months previous.

If you want have the crowning moment that’s fine, but the timing is everything. The boyhood dream didn’t come true for Shawn Michaels after having already won & lost the belt

Is Logan Paul a genuine draw? Personally i care very little for him but I'm in my 30's so I understand why he doesn't appeal to me, do the kids genuinely like him? I have always assumed his boxing fights do well because of the attraction of seeing him get knocked out

He has 23.4m subscribers on YouTube. That’s not as many as WWE have themselves (86.3m) but it’s 23.4m potential new viewers based on Paul doing something for his channel. He’s not being brought in to appeal to you or I (I’m in my 30s too), he’s being brought in to bring his predominately Young audience to WWE.
Even if they only convert 1% of his YouTube following, that’s over 234,000 potential new viewers/network subs based purely on Logan Paul being involved. Will the gamble payoff? Probably not, but it’s worth a try and even if it doesn’t pay off, they’ve been in worse spots financially when putting their faith in celebrities

Yeah, Eyeless on a free Kerrang! cd was my introduction too. Those free cd/tapes were priceless to me back in the day.

I’m almost certain this is the one it was on.

I don’t remember much else from other than the Atari Teenage Riot track, although I will have liked whatever Neurosis track was on there

Starship was a supergroup of JA, Crosby & Nash and Grateful Dead members that started as Jefferson Starship

The stage was now set for a the Alan Parsons Project, which I believe was some sort of hover-craft

  6. Yeah I remember watching it. I’d been into them after hearing the demo to ‘Eyeless’ on one of the free Kerrang CDs a couple of years earlier, so seeing them on proper telly and not tucked away on MTV’s SuperRock at daft o’clock in the morning was a big thing.

Evans then calling the song ‘Bleed & Wait’, my Dad just confused by the whole thing and my mum horrified that I listened to “devil music”

Supposedly Austin v Owens is still planned, but 4 weeks out from the show you would think having one of the biggest stars in the history of the business wrestling his first match in nearly 20 years would be featured a lot more. I don’t care what the match ends up being in terms of smoke & mirrors, but it’s Stone Cold Steve Austin, the biggest star of everyone’s beloved Attitude Era, wrestling a match for last time. That should be one of the main draws for the show, not something that gets added/confirmed at the last minute

Surely if they were having austin vs owens he would have made an appearance. It's 4 weeks out and that would be a huge match, not something that can just be thrown together a week before and expect it to have the attention and excitement it deserves

Who was it that was talking about @Echothe other day?

I wonder how this will effect Impact as well seeing as how Deonna Purrazzo is the current ROH women’s champion and they’re currently running with a heel stable comprised of the OGK, PCO, Vincent, Kenny King and Eddie Edwards

Ordinarily I’d say “it’s Impact, who cares”, then remembered that AEW actually did quite a bit for them last year. I’m sure they’ll work something out

  9. The Dog Collar Match could go either way, but an MJF win will do much more for him than Punk winning, he doesn’t need it in the same way MJF does and going two straight over Punk in big matches will cement him at the top going into Double or Nothing. Interesting to see whether or not the World Title match closes the show or not (I imagine it will) but Punk v MJF is definitely the main draw.

Speaking of the World Title, I’m sure it will be a competent match filled with Adam Cole’s usually bad habits, but I don’t think anyone believes for a second that Page is dropping the belt on Sunday.

I hope that Eddie Kingston beats Jericho. His mic work gets him through and onto whatever comes next, but Kingston needs a big win.

The Woman’s Tag Team match was pretty sloppy in places, but everything was decent for a go-home show

Saw Booker T on Instagram talking about Kevin Owens. Red Herring, possibly. Or is the Austin speculation looking more like bollocks leaked out to sell tickets and it's really going to be Booker, Shawn or Taker instead? Any hints on the actual TV that it could be Austin?

  11. Just announced in the opening segment of this weeks AEW Dynamite.

Interesting to see where this goes considering that ROH announced their own set of TV Tapings for April following the upcoming Supercard of Honor event set for Wrestlemania weekend.

Gone and got himself one hell of a tape library too

  12. “Extra dates Added Due to Phenomenal/Overwhelming Demand”

Good job the venue just so happened to be available for the next night(s) as you definitely hadn’t already booked it beforehand. Also makes your booking agent look an idiot for underestimating demand for the act

  13. We’ve been watching Pam & Tommy, which is better than you expect for something that has Seth Rogan in it.

They’ve tried do that thing where they’ll flash up the date and have an accompanying song from the period to hammer that home. So far we’ve had the summer of 1995 soundtracked to Len’s one hit ‘Steal My Sunshine’ from 1999, while the last episode we watched had events from early 1996 playing out to New Radicals ‘Get What You Give’ which was from 1998.

Its not Dirty Dancing ‘set in the 60s with bits of the 80s’ levels, but come on

  14. Yeah, outside of those 2 PAC matches Andrade has been a complete bust in AEW so far. Hopefully he has a Miro moment and manages to turn it around.

Aa for Chavo, I figured he was just on a short term/per appearance deal and that had run it’s course
