2011 UKFF UK50 - RESULTS THREAD

Not true at all. Spitfire works more dates than most the blokes on this list hands down AND he's a solid performer. A safe pair of hands who can wrestle various styles but his technical, chain wrestling style is really, really good. Seems like theres still some sour grapes from the 'racism on facebook' thread earlier this year.

He's racist? I didn't even realise that. I just knew he was characterless and dull - one of these guys who thinks it's okay to invest all your time in watching World of Sport tapes but only pays attention to the style and the workrate, without getting any of the character. Boring, and now that he's also revealed to be racist, he can definitely fuck off.

It actually comes from seeing him a while back when he appeared for BCW. Granted that was a few years back, but he really was not very good, and the worst of the wZw lot that used to frequent... well, second worst behind GTS, but even he managed to have a fucking stoater of a match one time.

Ok, the fact the most successfull promoter in Europe consistantly books him vetoes anything both you tossers said. Well done El Ligero. Excellent wrestler.

well done fella even if you did "El Booto" me

Haha That's gold!

Honestly deserves the top spot. A lot of people in the wrestling business claim they eat, sleep, and breath professional wrestling, but I know for El Ligero that it's the truth. I've never met somebody so dedicated to something in my life. Deserves the top spot 120%!

Spoken with perfection

also thank you Benny

The most successful promoter in America and the entire world EVER, books and kept a lot of dross on their roster - Khali, Brakkus, etc etc - So your point is?

The best thing about this whole UK50 idea is that you only have to look at the top 20 or so guys to realise that anyone saying there is no World Class talent in the UK has been looking in the wrong places (or is just plain wrong).

The top 25 of this year's list would make a damn fine TV roster. It's just a shame there's no-one with "Vince money" to do them justice!

Well said. Folk give britwres too hard a time or just jump on the bandwagon with those who say it's all skinny kids in pleather. You can't argue with the level of quality of some of the guys on these lists. Look at the top 25 for that combined list for christs sake, it's hardly shitarse city is it.

Ok, the fact the most successfull promoter in Europe consistantly books him vetoes anything both you tossers said. Well done El Ligero. Excellent wrestler.

My opinion has been vetoed? Erm... naw. Fuck off back under your rock you utter spenk.

the point is a relevant one when you bare in mind that Brian Dixon obviously knows a good wrestler far better than you do..... hence why hes the most successful promoter outside of the Americas and Japan.

You went on as if my opinion on Spitfire should be vetoed, fucking twonk. Let's just agree to disagree.

I just said that my opinion was based on more than some stuff about racism that could be fiction for all I know and went on to explain where I seen him and why I think what I think. I was having a go at the "you only said that because he's a racist!" stuff which is blatantly not true. I couldn't give a toss whether a wrestler is a nice guy, or a racist, or anything else for that matter. I don't pay my money to see nice guys. I pay money to see good wrestling, and Spitfire doesn't give that.

It's also a point that Dingbat shot down in quick order, and therefore not one worth revisiting. Funnily enough, I don't see anyone going back and answering that, even though people see fit to bring it up again.

A correct point isn't worth revisiting? Fuck off. Dixon's been booking since you were shitting your nappies. He needs good hands like Spitfire, Kid Cool and Allmark cause they have a decent match, know how to work various styles and can fill however long you need. The same way WWE emplyed the likes of Val Venis, IRS and Duane Gill so long. Just good, solid workers.
