Paid Members Surf Digby Posted August 2, 2010 Paid Members Posted August 2, 2010 Aguila (Essa Rios) vs Super Loco (Super Crazy). Ooh, it's flippy. Sadly ruined by Brian Christopher on commentary, and Super Crazy appears to be drunk. Debut of Essa Rios and Lita. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5wNwWRp_OE...feature=related Essa Rios vs Dean Malenko Guess who I've been searching today.

Dynamic and exciting. But doomed because his English was bad. Dammit man, it's wwfe learn to be an american bred american red white and blue american! Or a college jock. Or a twat.
Paid Members garynysmon Posted August 2, 2010 Paid Members Posted August 2, 2010 Not sure where else to post this, but was Hercules being really unprofessional here? He took the Powerbomb badly, and then got up straight after the Pin. Scan forward to 6 minutes or so.
Smegma Cake Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Mania 8 was Sids last match during that run, and either someone told anyone he's working for not to make him look good, or they did it off their own backs. With Sid and his contract disputes I can it being a bit of both.
Paid Members garynysmon Posted August 2, 2010 Paid Members Posted August 2, 2010 I think Hercules was on his way out here too. Maybe he couldn't be arsed jobbing and/or getting hurt on his way out? Been thinking about this one!
Smegma Cake Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Well I'm sure it was both not wanting to put Sid over, and not really fussed about the consequences himself.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted August 3, 2010 Paid Members Posted August 3, 2010 I think Hercules was on his way out here too. Maybe he couldn't be arsed jobbing and/or getting hurt on his way out? Been thinking about this one! I'm sure Raven mentioned it on his shoot interview. It was his last night or he knew he was on the way out, so he thought "fuck it". It was apparently an old school type of thing. Like Survivor Series 90, when it was Ax's last show, so he came out without his hair gelled just to mess with peoples minds at home.
Paid Members garynysmon Posted August 3, 2010 Paid Members Posted August 3, 2010 A Marvellously articulate interview with the Dynamite Kid and his partner, who was Wrestling at Holyhead Leisure Centre a year later (to which I attended). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fb7ccmQlTo...feature=related
Moderators PowerButchi Posted August 3, 2010 Moderators Posted August 3, 2010 When I saw Dynamite wrestle against Stone Mason in Plas Madoc Lesiure Centre in 1994, I thought he was Martin Clunes at first, he looked awful. In hindsight I probably got to watch one of his last matches, shame it was like that. His tights were hanging off his legs, he was that gaunt.
Paid Members garynysmon Posted August 3, 2010 Paid Members Posted August 3, 2010 Well he'd Wrestled at MSG and the Tokyo Dome, but had to visit this mythical home of where the Druids played before retiring. As if Rob Terry is the first Welsh Wrestler to hit the big time.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted August 3, 2010 Moderators Posted August 3, 2010 Hopefully one day Rob Terry will wrestle at Druids' new 3,000 capacity (WHY?) stadium in Rhosymedre. I do enjoy my occasional Friday Night in Plas Kynaston.
