CTXRussomark Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Who was the baldy who did colour commentary alongside Mark Madden and Tony Schiavone during 2000? Scott Hudson. He commentated on the infamous Booker T/Buff Bagwell Raw match that almost killed the Invasion, and worked most recently for TNA.

It was indeed Terry Gordy. Their only ppv match was at In Your House 12: "It's Time".Awful match.

Never mind what it's called - what the Hell is it?! From wikipedia.com:Spin-out powerbombThis is a belly-to-back powerbomb, usually beginning in the back suplex position where the attacker stands behind their opponent and puts their head under the arm of the opponent. They then lift the opponent up using one arm around the waist of the opponent and another under their legs. The attacker then spins the opponent over dropping them to the mat back first as they drop to a sitting position.Known under the name Blue Thunder Driver, a name invented by Jun Akiyama. The move is also known as Blue Thunder Powerbomb because it resembles a Powerbomb more than a Driver.Val Venis is probably the most famous user of spin-out powerbomb in the U.S. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi also uses the move calling it the Fireball Bomb.Another variation of this move ends in side slam positions, this version is used by John Cena who calls it Freestyle or Protoplex. Cena also used it in UPW calling it The Protobomb.Anyway, thanks to those who answered my questions. Edited December 5, 2005 by Van_Dammer
Paid Members Supremo Posted December 5, 2005 Paid Members Posted December 5, 2005 - Do all wrestlers who win a particular title have a replica of it made for them? In the instance of someone leaving a certain company with their title, wouldn't the fed simply have another belt made as if the 'original' is no longer recognised?Yes, but it won't be an exact copy. It will probably be a replica in the sense of those found on highspots etc. I'd presume the actual belts are pretty valuable. I recall that Flair paid the NWA 25 grand for their belt, although that was obviously a different era and a more complicated belt than say, the winged-eagle one. Actually, after being questioned about this on his website Lance Storm revealed they don't get given a replica belt at all. Or at least he was never given one. From what I can gather the only way anybody ends up with a replica is if they're such a mark for the belt when they win it that they head to somewhere like Highspots and buy themselves one with their own cash.
Mr. Seven Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Bret Hart strikes me as the type to do just that.
Spatular Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Does this thread contain spoilers for Lost, either for those episode of series 1 that haven't yet aired in the UK or for any of series 2? If I watch Smackdown, will I get Lost spoiled for me anyway? (You're damn right I'd skip SD so as not to spoil Lost!)
Spatular Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 I'm not complaining. I want to know whether I need to skip Smackdown this week (and avoid looking at the thread) in order not to spoil Lost.

All the thread did was talk about Smackdown ever so slightly stealing a concept from Lost. You'd never ever think of it if you hadn't read the thread though. It was just concerning Smackdown going a bit too supernatural considering it's supposed to come across as real life compared to Lost. And out of interest where about are you up to on Lost? If you let me know I'll tell you whether the thread contains a spoiler. Edited December 6, 2005 by ELsupremo
Spatular Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 (edited) Thanks. Last episode on E4 was (spoilerized because Kenny's girlfriend and maybe some other people don't get E4 and are therefore a week behind me): SPOILER Locke was losing feeling in his legs. He and Boone went wandering and found a downed plane. Boone was hurt and right at the end Locke saw a light from within the hatch. Are they taping Smackdown at the weekend now, or is it just a one-off? Edited December 6, 2005 by Spatular

Guest Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 I'm getting an issue with the videos on WWE.com. They open upo, but then refuse to play, saying they're "ready" but clicking play just makes them go back to "ready". Any ideas?
