The Mighty LC Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 You've got some spare time, reading through 137 pages of questions well, in a way... i'm a web designer for the government. my job can be quite mundane so flicking between the board and work it took me 4 days to get through it.did mean i neglected livejournal for most of the last week though. i'll probably have, like, ten pages of friends entries to catch up with next week. still, what else is work for? ;)c You're so fascinating. Already I want to be like you...
Guest Richard Studden Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I ordered SS over the phone because I had the message. 'There is insufficient credit left' The operator on the phone said it was because my phone line wasn't connected or something, maybe it has something to do with that for you others who had the same problem?
Josh D Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I know Spud has a website, whats the link? Also, who trained him?

GIB Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 (edited) does anyone know the code for free wwe 24/7? "THQSMACKDOWNVSRAW2006" Edited April 16, 2006 by GIB
Josh D Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 (edited) http://www.spudleyville.co.ukThanks. SMOKEY MOUNTAIN WRESTLING:I actually lined this job up while in Germany. I had sent a tape of my work to Jim Cornette, almost a year previous. I found out after, that Jim gets hundreds of tapes each week, so it takes him a long time to get through them. Most of the tapes he told me are of guys wrestling in their living rooms, so when he saw mine, he popped. He called the number on the tape, which was no longer accurate as I had moved since I sent him the tape. While Jim was working in the WWF he spotted a job guy wearing a Canadian Rocky Mountain Wrestling jacket, one of the companies I had wrestled for on the tape. He asked the guy if he knew me, PJ said that he did and I had in fact trained him. Jim gave him his number and asked him to pass it on to me. After several phone calls I got word that Cornette was interested in using me when I returned from Germany. I spoke to him on the phone, worked everything out, and started the next year. It was Justin Credible himself who in a sense got me booked. I was originally going to go in as a single, but before I did, Jim got a tape from Chris Jericho. Jim saw from our tapes that we had worked together in the past and he asked Chris if he would tag with me, in hopes of putting us with the Heavenly Bodies. Chris didn't want to step on my toes, since I already had the gig set up, so he said it would be up to me. I thought with Jim's focus on tag teams, that together we stood a better chance of being figured in. Thus the Thrillseekers were born. We worked for Jim for the better part of 94, but due to a lack of money, it was short lived. It was great fun tagging with Chris again, and a real joy working for Cornette. Jim is one of the funniest men alive, and traveling with him is an adventure unto itself. My greatest achievement in SMW was on our first road trip with Cornette. Jim is an avid player of the wrestler name game, and never losses. There were about 6 of us in a van one night when we started playing. Jericho was first out; as I don't think he cared enough to put much effort forth. After quite a while it was down to Jimmy C, and myself, and I stuck him for the win, with I think the Quebecers. No one could believe that I had beaten the master, and how appropriate I beat him with a Canadian team. I never played him again, as I knew it would only go down hill from there.www.stormwrestling.comThis probably sounds really stupid - but what is the "wrestler name game" Edited December 3, 2005 by Josh D
Spatular Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 The normal name game is like this: someone thinks of a famous person. The next person says someone else whose first name begins with the first letter of the last person's last name, and so on round in a circle. For example, Britney Spears to Simon Groom to Geoff Hurst to Henry Rollins and so on. You can't use someone that's already been mentioned. Maybe it's like that, except that you have to stick to wrestlers?Optional rules: if both names start with the same letter (Alan Alda), change direction; if there's a middle name (Richard E Grant) or a double-barrelled name (Janet Street-Porter), skip a player; and drink while you think (when it's your go, pick up your glass and don't stop drinking till you've come up with one ).
Paid Members JNLister Posted December 3, 2005 Paid Members Posted December 3, 2005 So who was the person ending in Q that Cornette came up with and thought he'd won?
CracktonMoj Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 So who was the person ending in Q that Cornette came up with and thought he'd won? One of Hassan's sympathisers was called Tariq. And had no second name. Yes.
Spatular Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 So who was the person ending in Q that Cornette came up with and thought he'd won? Under the rules I play, it'd be someone like Pat Tanaka whose surname began with T who was followed by The Quebecers (because The starts with T), and it was JC who hasn't heard of Quentin Hyde-Styles. But that doesn't seem fair, because it turns The Quebecers into Mornington Crescent...Hey, is this the first US question on the thread you haven't know the answer to?
Million$Body Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Does any wrestler today still use the 'claw' as their finisher?
Clumsy Dad Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 (edited) Does any wrestler today still use the 'claw' as their finisher? There was a guy called "The Colorado Kid" Mike Rapada who held several titles in the NWA in the late 90's/early 00's, that used it but I'm not sure if he wrestles any more. GPW Kristian Zane Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 i'm sure there's a whole lot of things i want to ask, but i can't think of anything right now so i'll just ask this: does anyone know where i could get a referee shirt? preferably a wwe one (reckon the hebners might have any going spare..? ) but a typical one would also be fine. one of my mates has been looking for one for ages. i thought highspots might stock them but i can't see them.thanks in advance, chrisIf you know sombody who works at Footlocker, ask them to get one for you, their shirts are just like referee shirts. Also, welcome to the forum.Tried that. Doesn't work. http://www.gmcgriff.com/refonline/store/wr...ing_shirts.html
Millenium-Man Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 After Cena retained the WWE title AGAIN last week on Raw, I got to thinking-- When was the last time the heavyweight title actually changed hands on the show?Of course, I remember the crap from last year where HHH lost the belt in a triple-threat (with Benoit and Edge)-- only to win it back at the following PPV... But I honestly don't recall the time before that?!Infact, the only switch that comes to mind is the time HHH beat Foley for the belt after Summerslam '99... It MUST have happened since then though surely?!
