The Mighty LC Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Michaels' original finisher in 92 was I believe known as a Teardrop suplex. But he always used the side kick (or I as I believe Gorilla Monsoon called it a reverse crescent kick) before doing the suplex moveThe side suplex move was his finisher on the early megadrive and snes wwf games. It wasn't quite a side suplex though in the traditional sense, because he used to grab his man with one leg sorta hooked. It was a tad like the move Rikio uses in NOAH. PWI once described it as like a mini-Frankinsteiner, though it's very possible this was before they'd even seen it...
B3rry Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Sweet Chin Music is a common Baseball term... for a pitch hitting a guy in the face (usually intentionally)... I don't know if the name originated from baseball or not... and don't know where the connection came from for Michaels...In Michaels' book he explains he didn't think he could get the kick over as a finisher... he'd been using it in matches since before his WWF debut at least... but Scot Hall convinced him to use it as it was his best move...I haven't read the book myself yet... so don't know if he explains why it became known as the Sweet Chin Muisic...I really like his version of the Side Suplex though... he seemed to try and hit it during a Kurt Angle run in on Raw sometime during their fued running up to Wrestlemania 22... though the commentators refered to it as an Angle Slam...

It also pops up again in SD vs. RAW 2006. I'm pretty sure Barry Windham used to use this variation a fair bit as well.

Guest Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I'm getting an issue with the videos on WWE.com. They open upo, but then refuse to play, saying they're "ready" but clicking play just makes them go back to "ready". Any ideas? This may just be me, but when ever I use Mozilla they do that. They work fine on I.E. The source filter for this file could not be loaded. is the error I get, whether IE or firefox anyone?
