Why are some footballs rock solid to the extent they hurt to kick these days?

Well they shouldn't be? If they're rock solid and hurt to kick, perhaps it's overinflated?

Maybe? I’ll try letting a bit of air out

It also may be the material, I've never really thought about it. My 13yo seemingly goes through 400 footballs a year, and I have noticed Nike ones are, IMO, absolutely shite as they don't have panels, they're just all over, and feel plasticky. Definitely prefer Adidas balls.

I've started making her buy her own 😆

Why is it on telly real estate programs, Yank estate agents love to brag about “I have a $2 million portfolio?” Surely if you’re in sales, telling us how much unsold inventory you have isn’t quite the brag you think it is?? What am I missing?

At the risk of this being a joke that's gone over my head, this is the same question you started this thread with... 🤨

Oh dear. Must have sunburned my brain at the Bolton car boot!

OK, so…. why do people try and sell rusted tools, nails/screws and drill bits at car boots?? Does anyone ever buy them? I can’t get my head round that there’s value there.
