Browne's only got three defeats on his record, but there appears to be a consensus that he just wouldn't make the cut, which means there's a minimum standard for Fury opponents, and it's quite high. Take any top 10 Heavyweight fighter at any point in those 7 years, they are all "credible" opponents. Fury's inactivity and the fact that he had a trilogy with one man has meant has he hasn't fought many of them. Just because Fury is the best Heavyweight in the world doesn't mean the other top ranked fighters don't deserve to share the ring with them. Fury probably would have beaten anyone that was put in the ring with him, but that's not the point. Carbomb's initial comment was that Fury had "beaten almost everyone there is available to beat", but that's not the case.

Everyone credible and worthy of challenging for the title. It's not on Fury to step up and fight someone ranked 8th.

I think it’s the evolution of the sport now where the highest echelon will have a superfight every two of three years because they’ll make more money than they would defending against all comers in not so super fights because they put the huge payday at risk. As we’ve said on here before, that big payday means more than being world champion.

Oh come on Ebb, you can only fight who’s in front of you. Wilder tied him up for a while. It’s not like Benn and Eubank having to box Wharton, Watson, Piper and Stretch in the 90s at a strong domestic level. The only person Fury hasn’t fight is Parker, other than Usyk, and I don’t see Parker bothering him. Although, Michael Sprott is due a shot. You’re probably better off throwing a fiver between a couple of homeless lads and saying whoever can stand after a head butting competition keeps the winnings. Rossman
Boxxer are starting to put on a few dodgy shows recently. We had the Jack Catterall/Josh Taylor fight back in February which seems to have derailed both of their careers. Last month they put on a show in Albania where Florian Marku headlined against a game Mexican fighter, Miguel Parra Ramirez. Whole fight was rigged for Marku to win. Marku would have probably won anyway but the fight scoring was made to look a lot healthier by the abysmal Italian referee. Marku pushed over Ramirez at the start of round 4. Referee scored it a knockdown Ramirez knocked Marku down in round 8, referee stopped the round, 6 seconds early. Ramirez & Marku got in a tangle, so Ramirez got a point taken off for pushing with no prior warnings. Then last night there were two terrible fights. Frazer Clarke faced off against a 6'5" Bulgarian skeleton. Everytime he got touched he went down. Think the fight lasted 90 seconds. Clarke had to apologise to the crowd who had paid to see that rubbish. Not just a mismatch it was dangerous. Then the main event, Liam Smith v Hassan Mwakinyo finished with a ridiculous ending. Mwakinyo supposedly rolled his ankle in round 3. Then in round 4 he kept going to the corner and kneeling down, without taking any shots. After the 2nd time he did it, the fight was called off. Cue Mwakinyo getting up, walking around the ring absolutely fine, protesting about the stoppage. ............................................................................................................ Luis Ortiz v Andy Ruiz Jr tonight. Credit to Ruiz Jr, he's got himself into great shape for the fight,

Credit to Ruiz Jr, he's got himself into great shape for the fight, He didn't. Ruiz was back up another stone on what we was when he fought last year. Feels like every Ruiz fight that goes by now we have the same photo's crop up of a slimmed down Ruiz in the gym, then come fight night he still looks the same as he always does. The fight was a mixed bag. The rounds Ruiz did win he looked great in, the rest of the fight I thought he was handily outboxed. I had Ortiz winning it on my card despite him being knocked down 3 times. The knockdowns won Ruiz the fight on the official card too. Ruiz is clearly capable of so much more than what he shows, the inactivity and quick bursts of action are what makes him unique I guess, but you have to think if he slimmed down a bit he'd be even more dangerous. It all looks like it's gearing towards a Wilder/Ruiz fight. I don't fancy Ruiz to come through no matter how good his chin is.
