Agreed. I'm off for my yearly trip to Woolacombe right next to Ilframcombe next month and I can't think of anywhere else in the UK with such consistently spectacular sunsets.

Enjoy. I'm counting down the days until we can get there again.

We normally visit Woolacombe during our trips, but didn't this year. We went to try Saunton instead. We were going to Croyde too, but ran out of time.

Not in this picture: eight trillion people still at the beach squeezing every last bit out of their bank holiday. Never seen it so busy in all my life.

An absolute stunner back from when I was in Hamburg mid-June. Sat with this view and a beer was bloody lovely.

Managed to get away for a brief, two day 'I survived the school holidays, but I'm basically fucked' recovery break.

Here are a few I managed to get in Ilfracombe during said break.

After seven days of it pissing down almost non-stop, finally got one in Woolacombe on our final night.

I wish I'd left it a couple of weeks to head down, to be honest. I love a good storm. All the stormy sea pictures being posted on the North Devon Facebook groups I go on are making me quite jealous.
