Obscure celebrity fandoms

Late 90's pay driver Pedro Diniz was always my 'guy' in Formula 1. I was member 00004 of his fan club, or something. Got a bunch of signed pictures through that (quarterly, I think) and met him once at the fan club 'convention' which was attended by maybe 30 people. Just last week I got excited by the rare sighting of a Parmalat (his main sponsor) product in Tesco. I tried to take a photo of it but my other half called me a weirdo so I didn't.

(Incidentally, I've always had an odd dislike of Martin Brundle, even though he's from Norfolk. Sorry @Monkee)

Nowadays, I'm big into a bunch of pretty obscure country bands/artists that not even that many people in the States are overly familiar with - I consider Shooter Jennings (son of Waylon) my very favourite artist of any genre, I've crossed oceans to see him & managed to meet him at every gig I've been to. I have the signed setlist from the second time I saw him framed on my lounge wall, and he's also autographed the middle pages of my passport in a way that's probably very illegal and will one day see me denied entry to a foreign country. I know Shooter has a few other fans on here but I've always found that to be an anomaly in other circles.

I've seen everything TV/film wise that Tamla Kari (probably best known as Lucy from the Inbetweeners movie) has done, and been to see a couple of theatre things she's done. Have a signed photo of her on the coffee table in the lounge, but since the other half moved in she wants it gone. Because my fandom is pretty much based on the fact I think she's hot. There's no way I could have suffered through The Musketeers otherwise.

@King Coconut - I've met Roger Taylor, he was a nice guy & not at all annoying outside your dream world. We talked about fruit picking.

It was only when I woke up and was, and I promise you this with not a hint of exaggeration, really, REALLY disappointed to realise I wasn't actually best buds with the female Gladiators phenom, that i've been strangely obsessed with her for bloody ages  Not in a sexual way, just that I think about her a lot, how brilliant an athlete she was, how much charisma she had, thinking of ways I could involve her in various work initiatives, fundraisers, advocacy that sort of thing.

It's that underlined sentence I'll be telling the old bill about if I ever read that she's been kidnapped.

It's not an obscure one, but my Aunt is the biggest Cliff Richards fan going. I think she's been to one of his concerts each year since the 60's. She also religiously gets Cliff's calendar. I vividly remember a topless Cliff up on the wall with 'I really DIG gardening' for September when I was a kid. She once got thrown out of Harrods for having an episode when she went past Cliff on the down escalator when he happened to be going up. She started flapping, followed him around and was escorted out by security. We don't mention it at family occasions.

@Statto I'm guessing his daughters name gets your seal of approval!

I 'met' Alabama at a gig (in Alabama) back when she was a babe in arms. Which makes the whole thing sound oddly creepy. I didn't set out to 'meet' the guy's baby daughter, she was just there.

Brigitte Khan, an obscure german actor who was in Episode V, and loads of bit parts. Probably most famous as Dagmar in Auf Pet series 1. She's one of those actors that fell off the face of the earth, which for some reason I find fascinating. A good actor, even if she was a 70's/80's rent a foreigner.
