Wrestlemania Screenings in UK bars/clubs etc

I don't think so. I mean, any time we're out, it's 3am, then "ARE YA RIGHT THERE FOLKS...PLEASE!", rinse and repeat for 10 minutes and then fucked into the cold to get a taxi home.

Believe me I have fucking searched Dublin City for somewhere to get a drink after 3am and the only places are backstreet casinos/brothels and they're not fun because you're expected to spend money on drink AND gambling, be it by means of roulette, poker or gonorrhoea.

Used to be a place years ago called Spirit that stayed open til 6am and times were good then.

On topic, I really would watch Mania in a pub/club environment if I had the chance...

This can't be entirely true. UFC runs till 6/7AM. They had shots of bars in Ireland celebrating the Connor McGregor win not on the most recent show. But one before that, I'm certain.

Well the part about catching gonorrhoea may well be, because you wouldn't know what these women had.

Regarding the McGregor thing, one pub in particular (the Old Schoolhouse in Swords) had a lock in. Some cunts were tagging on Facebook, everyone got rumbled and they were heavily fined and further investigation pending.

I sincerely doubt there was any pub in this shithole that legally stayed open to show that fight.

My plan this year is to watch it on the Monday morning with my son as the schools are off. That way I can watch and enjoy it properly with someone who hasn't been jaded by years of watching.

how come your boy is off school on April 4th? Mine aren't :-(

Glasgow schools always have the first two full weeks in April off. I always have one of them off work as well so I made sure I timed it well this year.

Easter break, ofcourse!! Yeah my kids are off :-) so back on topic, i'll watch it live round a mates, then re-watch it monday AM with the kido's at home (i won't tell them i've already seen it) I love watching them watch wrestling.

I tried to get a sports bar in Peterborough to stay open 2 years ago for Mania, but they were asking me to put a deposit down and i'd only get that back if a certain amount of people attend. I can't remember the amount but it wasn't cheap. Well over £200

They were actors filmed earlier in the day.

I remember there was a Wrestlemania V viewing party in London in '89. Probably the first attempt at such a thing. Would be great if anybody from that era that went was still alive for a report.

Remember when your pubs and clubs legally need to close too. We don't want want happened up here (in Glasgow) to affect you.

Somebodies (Who was it?) show missed the last hour because the club had to legally close causing a big fight. People being lifted by the cops. Sounded hilarious.
