The final scores were put into the opening post on Sunday night and the table was uploaded by the end of Monday. In a chronically low-scoring round, there was again no change in the gap at the top, but it's time to start paying more attention to the race for second place anyway. Only three exact scores among the 220 guesses this time out, and two of those were made by Del and dave, best and second best performer respectively for the week, who are now snapping at TildeGuy's heels. At the other end, Seph's advantage over hallicks is down to 2 points, while the former is a full 30 points behind Glenryck in 20th, so I think everyone else can relax about the wooden spoon now. Special mention to Shy Dad for being the only other participant to manage a three-pointer, but also a dishonorable nod to Nana and TUFCfan, whose weekly efforts are level on just one point apiece.

So, to the matches. Wins for Sunderland and Guingamp caught a lot of people out, as did Chelsea's failure to beat Norwich. Saints' last-minute winner in a dire game at the Liberty Stadium was responsible for 2 of the 3 exact scores, but it cost many others a point at the same time. Since the Milanese sides ground-share, bets on their derby were all over the place. A fair few players got a point from the 'home' victory, and it also produced the only other perfect pick. Both teams could still qualify for the Europa League, but both could also easily miss out.

Back closer to home, few could've foreseen the scale of triumphs on their own turf for Villa, Newcastle and Stoke, but most still took a point from those outcomes. Conversely, the margin of victory for the hosts was lower than expected at the Emirates, which meant it didn't yield any correct scoreline picks.

The next card doesn't contain any Saturday games, as I said earlier, so this isn't technically late for once. I'll still post it in a moment, mind.
