When I saw this on Saturday, I was going to respond that I can't change the rules to prevent that kind of stupidity. And yet somehow Seph conspired to be so facepalm-inducingly awful this week that you have in fact closed the gap at the wrong end of the table to just 4 points. What's more, since nobody made it into double figures in this low-scoring round, had your earlier picks counted, you'd have been joint top scorer with the snowman and Rory. At the top, alas, MVP RULZ's advantage remains at 26 points, which means he might as well have one hand on our non-existent FPL trophy already.

As for the matches, we should probably look to Anfield first. Chelsea's victory there caught everyone out, although a handful of participants did think they might come away with a draw. The exact scoreline at the Liberty Stadium evaded everybody too, but at least a couple of people got close and many took one point from that result. There was a similar problem with the one-sided outcome in favour of the home side at the Stadium of Light, but the same one at Old Trafford did yield three points for the odd picker.

Expected outcomes at Selhurst Park, The Britannia and The Hawthorns all proved fruitful, as did the score draw at Craven Cottage that severely dented Fulham's survival hopes. I haven't used this stock phrase in a while, but I must say that the German fixtures really were a mixed bag. There really didn't seem to be a pattern to the guesses in our last visit to the Bundesliga of the season.

All right, this is late again, but not as chronically as last week, so count yourselves lucky.
