Luckily it was quite a low-scoring round this time, which means there wasn't too much working-out of the table to be done. At this early stage though, a few points can make all the difference. There's no change in the order of the top 4, but the gap between Lawz and seph has been closed to 8 points despite his EPL duck. The bottom 5 also remain the same, but they're and we can't escape the fact that Harvey Dent (even though he's doing me a favour this week) had a shocker of a week. Rory is now the best of the large group in between, having shot up 12 places by being this round's top scorer with 15.

I didn't realise until I totted up the scores that ultimo hadn't actually bet on United to win at Anfield. That was a bit harsh on people made their picks early, which this week included myself. Nevertheless, his guess proved optimistic as Liverpool took all 3 points and 12 of the other 22 participants rightly disagreed with him, although many of those wrongly went for an away victory.

As for the other matches, the Italian ones produced 12 goals between them, which wasn't exactly the finest example of catenaccio. Although Juve's home triumph was probably the easiest result to guess, unsurprisingly nobody got the exact scoreline correct for either game. Hibs' failure to see off Ross County at home also threw a spanner in the works for most, but a handful more did see Partick's win on the road at St Mirren coming.

South of the border, a lot of players foresaw Cardiff-Everton ending in a draw - albeit generally a scoring one - while few thought Stoke would overcome West Ham on their travels. Many people erroneously thought Spurs would come away from the Emirates with something, but the Canaries edging out Saints at Carrow Road proved a tad more fruitful. Less useful was out-of-sorts Newcastle's narrow win against a Fulham side who are normally hapless away from the Cottage but had won on their last visit to the North East.

All right, no more overlap between rounds until at least the busy Christmas and New Year period. I'm off to make my picks in the other thread straight away!
