I love Counting Crows. I didn't know they were considered actively offensive, but I'm in my 30s so I'm sketchy as fuck about what's considered cool in music these days. My only vague awareness of it is that the fact I hate The Strokes doesn't seem to go down that well with the hipsters.

I don't think they're offensive, just that their sound is very 90's. I was massively into them when I was about 18/19 & am pretty much going to this gig for nostalgia purposes. I don't need the same level of hopeless romantic angst in my music that I did as a teenager.

Reading the last few posts, i'd convinced myself that Mr Jones was a song about some old nonce.

 

Having checked the lyrics, i havent a fucking clue where i got that impression.

 

For the record, i am BORED AS FUCK.
