Teddy Long informed Daniel Bryan that Randy Orton had a concussion and therefore would be competing against him. Esequiel mentioned there were security guards stationed outside the office as Teddy told Bryan.

1. Great Khali and Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett. Khali and Show won after Khali chokeslammed Barrett. Show knocked Khali out during the post-match celebration.

Backstage, a returned Mark Henry was lobbying Teddy Long to put him in the Elimination Chamber match. Show came in and demanded a match vs. Daniel Bryan tonight. He ended up knocking Henry out and trashing Long's office. Long told the security team to escort Big Show out if they saw him. Security said they weren't getting near that giant. Long told them to step up.

2. Hunico defeated Ted DiBiase. Hunico won with a roll-up.

3. Epico and Primo defeated the Usos. Primo scored the pinfall with a backstabber.

Daniel Bryan cut a promo in the ring about what he did on Raw. He said Big Show and Orton were afraid to come out. He said come Sunday, he would still be World Champion. He told Lilian to announce him the winner of the main event by forfeit, but Teddy Long came out and announce Bryan would face Sheamus instead.

4. Daniel Bryan defeated Sheamus by disqualification. Bryan spit in Sheamus's face and Sheamus went crazy. The ref tried to hold him back, but Sheamus pushed him to cause the DQ.

Backstage, Cody and Barrett asked Teddy who was taking Orton's place in the Chamber match. Teddy said they were going to have a battle royal and the winner would take the final spot. He said anyone from any brand could compete.

5. Jinder Mahal defeated Ezekiel Jackson. Mahal won by submission with the came clutch.

Long was on the phone backstage and John Laurinaitis walked up. He said Teddy needed someone with charisma in the battle royale and entered David Otunga. Teddy wished him luck.

6. Tamina and Alicia Fox defeated Beth Phoenix and Natalya. Tamina pinned Natalya for the win.

7. Santino Marella won a battle royal to claim Randy Orton's spot in the Elimination Chamber. The final four were Santino, Drew McIntyre, Ezekiel Jackson, and David Otunga. Drew was eliminated first, followed by Zeke. Crowd went nuts for Santino win.

Eventful show for the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber PPV with Randy Orton getting pulled from the match due to concussion and getting replaced by Santino.

Santino and Khali in the chamber means the other 4 are going to have to do an awful lot more work if this chamber is going to be the better of the two.

I still want to watch the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match more than the RAW one but the Smackdown one could have had better replacements. When I read Orton was concussed, I hoped Drew McIntyre would take his spot as he should be better used. Drew McIntyre should have replaced the injured Mark Henry who was replaced by The Great Khali.

Santino? Fuck sake. Of all the people, they pick him. I hope they have either Mark Henry or Christian (If he's healthy yet) come out and beat him up on his way out there and then replace him, as I can't think of anyone I'd rather never see on TV again, let alone a PPV main event. Another Uso's Vs Primo & Epico match, and Round 50 of Hunico Vs Ted DiBiase as well. Sounds terrible, with the exception of Big Show's antics and the Daniel Bryan promo.

They're exactly a year too late with Santino. After nearly winning the Rumble last year, he was on an absolute high, and could have been pushed into the upper card much like Eugene was for a time. Considering he's still not completely stale now, a run near the top could have provided him with a bit more depth. Now, I can't see anything for him other than "the shortest time in an elimination chamber goes to Santino" in the montages.

Still, it's a brave thing to do, and maybe watching the show, we'll get a better context behind Santino's win. I actually hope he gets an elimination in the chamber, maybe Cody, to set up a Wrestlemania match? Cody vs. Santino seems like it'd work, Cody being over-arrogant saying he's the best IC Champ of all time and the belt has fallen once the likes of Chyna, Santino, etc. etc. got the belt - where as Santino would be insulted that he's not seen as a legitimate contender. You can fill it with comedy montages too, it's a win all round.

SANTINO!?! Shit choice. I dont wanna see him doing that cobra move to people in the chamber. They couldn't have McIntyre cause they've done nothing but squash him but why not Sheamus? I know he is the rumble winner but why not try to win a title early? He could have done promos about winning one title then challenging for the other. Even though thats not gonna happen.

It would even kick start the possible Sheamus vs Bryan match (if that happens), it could be them as the last 2 with Bryan cheating to win making Sheamus sure of who he wants at Mania.

But Santino...really?

Santino's inclusion is a major surprise, I can see Santino either making the final three or more than likely getting eliminated quickly. It's a shame Christian, Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio are injured as they would probably have entered the Elimination Chamber matches and John Cena/Kane are in a different match.

I think Christian will jump Santino before the match and take him out of it. Christian will then win the Chamber match and the World title and face Sheamus at Wrestlemania continuing their feud before Christian got injured. This will lead to Orton's return for him to face Bryan at Mania in revenge for "injuring" him.

This would work for me tbh, and I would have no issue with that as a world title match at mania.

I'd really like Christian to take part but I don't want him to win. I want Daniel Bryan to enter WrestleMania XXVIII as World Heavyweight Champion, he's the best thing in the WWE today. I think we'll either get Bryan/Sheamus at WrestleMania XXVIII or possibly a Triple Threat/Fatal Four Way match. The WWE Championship match on the RAW side looks like Punk/Jericho. Hope Punk doesn't drop the title at the Elimination Chamber PPV and regains it at WrestleMania XXVIII.

I hoped Drew McIntyre would take his spot as he should be better used. Drew McIntyre should have replaced the injured Mark Henry who was replaced by The Great Khali.

Why? Nobody cares about McIntyre whatsoever. He would add absolutely nothing to the Elimination Chamber in his current status (i.e. near the bottom of the card). Besides, apart from one match on Superstars, he really hasn't shown much since he debuted.

But it looks like they have put a lot of Smackdown on auto-book yet again...Primo & Epico VS Usos and Dibiase VS Hunico yet again?

He wasn't in a much better position last year and he was one of the stand-outs of his Chamber match.

He was involved in a storyline with Kelly Kelly, a few months after dropping the tag titles. He literally hasn't done anything since the last Elimination Chamber, other than job out to the world and their wife. Granted last year he didn't have much credibility, but still a lot more than he does today.

Again this just fuels my hatred for these gimmick Pay Per Views. Not only do I think two Elimination Chamber matches on a card doesn't make the card flow too well but this match lacks star power. I suppose in a optimistic view it makes the "Anything can happen" term more realistic.

I feel Santino is the wrong guy to put in the match. I've got the feeling one of the RAW guys is gonna make a switch to SmackDown before Mania. It could also be a spot for someone to beatdown Santino and come in the chamber for the 2nd match of the night from the Raw chamber. Hopefully he doesn't make it into the Chamber he's too comical. It's similar to putting the fucking Godfather (1999 Face gimmick) in the Armageddon HIAC match back in 2000.
