Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted August 23, 2011 Paid Members Posted August 23, 2011 NBC is getting in the ring with a put pilot commitment to a drama about the 1980s professional wrestling boom, which is executive produced by one of the biggest 1990s wrestling stars, Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock. The fictional drama set in the world of wrestling in the 1980s, hails from Bruckheimer TV, marking a departure from the company
MoistVaj Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I think a pissed up Will Ferrell would make a great Roddy Piper, and you could have Stephen Graham play the Dynamite Kid.
fye Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Go ahead. What person should play each WWF wrestler/personality from this golden period. I'm off for a think about this one. Â Â Is it going to use real people in it or is it all going to be fictional? Still a good question though
mdh85 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Quinton Jackson might as well be Mr. T. again I suppose. Â I think Robert Downey Jr. would make a tremendous Ric Flair.
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted August 23, 2011 Paid Members Posted August 23, 2011 Its a shame Tom Selleck is so old or he'd make a perfect Rick Rude
Paid Members air_raid Posted August 23, 2011 Paid Members Posted August 23, 2011 [unimaginative] Rampage Jackson as Mr T. Â As I mentioned in t'other thread, Tom Hardy as Sheiky Baby. Don Cheadle as Virgil. Will Ferrell as "Saturdays Night Main Event" commentator Vince McMahon. Â Can't think of any others, shattered. Â Oh, the Chuckle Brothers as The Bushwhackers.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted August 23, 2011 Paid Members Posted August 23, 2011 I think Al Pacino was born to play Hot Rod...

Tom Hardy should play Dynamite.  BALLY BALLY!!  Anyway Ian, are we including our ideal line-up consisting of Hollywood mega stars? Or a realistic evaluation considering that it's going to be the small screen? Because in that situation, we might get some good names here and there but no Pacino etc.
Dil|kid Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Dustin Hoffman always reminded me of Flair in some ways  Omid Djalili has to be the Iron Sheik

I've been considering getting Fred Elliot in as King Kong Bundy myself.
bwo Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Obviously The Big Show would have to play Andre. Â hmmm. I can't think of any good ones for anyone else.
MoistVaj Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Anything you want mate. I've been considering getting Fred Elliot in as King Kong Bundy myself. Â Â Isn't he dead?
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted August 23, 2011 Author Paid Members Posted August 23, 2011 Isn't he dead? Are you talking the worker or the entertainer? Fred's dead, but I believe the man behind the gimmick is still kicking. I only found that out recently. Fred had been so typecast in my mind, I thought he died along with the character.
