Ideally I'd like the pair of them hook up with Barrett on Smackdown and have a returning Skip Sheffield join them eventually too. Â A Nexus on Raw and a Nexus on Smackdown would be interesting. If the WWE creative team bother to tell stories during the Rumble match itself this year, it could be a cracker if the two Nexus groups then square off. Â Sadly however, I think Slater and Gabriel will align themselves with Cena. Â I thought Punk on the Tron was lame, almost as bad as MC's "Punk, Punk Punk" cringeworthy. The whole segment went nowhere and was pointless. Â Quite a slow Raw I thought this week? A repeat of Del Rio/Truth from last week, and the Daniel Bryan tag match was a repeat from Superstars. Lawler's speech about not joining any group that initiates you sounded like the preaching that get shoehorned in whenever Vince has a new enemy.  There was a mini-Sheamus in the crowd! Michaels ruffled his hair as he left the ring.  Good to see HBK again. Thats WrestleMania ruined". Its speculation and one is retired and never planning on wrestling again and the other isnt even in negotiations with them and probably wont sign with them. I think there's a 0.1% chance of this match happening ever, so its never in a million years a spoiler. Would loved to have seen it though. Sting runs a church in real life. They could do sort of a boiler room brawl type match in th aisle way of the Stingers Christian Retreat, a bit like the Hollywood Backlot brawl from WM12. ThePhenom Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 I thought that was a boring show, with hardly any actual entertaining wrestling what we have seen over the last 7 weeks or so. The crowd seemed to be asleep for the whole show, other than when Shawn come out. Rightfully so as well. Really disapointing that show was, I hope it's goes back to being good again next week. Del Rio and his whole act is Gold. I think it is to early for him to win a World Title or to Main Event Mania though. Be a shame to rush his push. Â sad that.. we finally get somebody who you get hot shot and because of the failures in the past (swagger, sheamus) you kinda have to be reluctent.. wich is a shame. I felt during the King/Cole showdown bit that they teased the GM reveal very heavily. I was sure King was going to take the laptop from Cole, get on the mic and inform us all that Michael Cole is the Raw GM. I'm not sure what to make of the new Nexus. Personally I like the cultish stuff Punk is doing in the role but Wade shone in that role too and I miss him in it already. The flogging of whatshisname was pretty cringy stuff though. Not only did it seem to me like a bit of a light initiation comapred to the others but he made constant, eerily porn like groaning sounds with each successive whip. I have roomates. Christ.
