ok, just seen this thread and this is all I am going to say on the subject:

Yes, I previously worked in the adult film industry under the name Holly Dee. I havnt been active in that industry since January when I began my wrestling training. Any content that has been released since then was shot previous to January (as you can tell from the difference in my physique). And yes, the name change to Rocamora was to seperate my wrestling career from my adult film career.

I worked as a adult model for 3 years and it was due to working as a model that I first started going to the gym in order to stay in shape for modelling. I then found that I had good genetics for building muscle and got more and more interested in health and fitness. I have always been a huge wrestling fan and watched it on a regular basis since I was a young kid but it wasnt until then that I felt like becoming a wrestler was actually something I could do.

When I do something, I fully throw myself into it, so I decided to leave my work in the adult film industry as I felt I had already acheived everything I set out to do within that industry and commit full time to my wrestling training. Since then, I have been wrestling training 2/3 times a week aswell as weight training in the gym 5/6 days a week, yoga to maintain my flexibility 2/3 times a week and cardio training every day. I am fully 100% commited to achieving my ambitions within the wrestling industry.

And as for children and family shows, yes I have worked in the adult film industry but that doesnt make me some kind of sex offender. I have done nothing wrong or illegal and I know how to conduct myself around children! I take bookings as a professional wrestler and thats exactly how I act, professional. There is no cross over between my wrestling career and my previous work in the adult film industry.

Like I've said previously in this thread, I know little about this promotion and I was posting more here in the capacity of someone who knew some of your adult work. I think it's refreshing to see someone from the adult industry that has moved on to a more mainstream profession not turning in some massive anti-porn rant and completely discounting his/her previous work. Good on you for being open and admitting it and not being ashamed of it.

I do hope you don't get any shit for moving into wrestling, especially as you have chosen to work in the family arena, because as you point out you've done absolutely nothing wrong or illegal. Best of luck with it all.

I'd just like to echo Gladstone's sentiments really. As something of a Pornisseur, I can appreciate how hard a game it is and hopefully you'll do well in the Wrestling as well. I'm also with Gladders on it being refreshing to see a former Adult Model not going on some anti-industry rant after leaving the game.

I don't see how Holly's former occupation would be a problem anyway, to be honest. I doubt the MC is going to announce "And introducing, former star of grot and grumble... Holly Rocamora!", I doubt she's going to be showing her tits during the matches, and selliing and signing copies of her Adult DVDs at the gimmick table. It's clearly not going to be publicised (It doesn't need to be), 99% of people watching (parents and that) aren't going to watch and say "Oh, that's Holly D who I've seen on TVX" or whatever, and it won't make an ounce of difference to the show from being family friendly to all of a sudden becoming like Sperma Brutal 4 just because one of the talent used to work in Adult Entertainment.

On another point, how many wrestlers have done Adult Entertainment? Holly D obviously, Stefan Hard, Chyna, I think Chris Colt did as well, half of XPW...

sycophantic

Do you know what that word means?

A servile self-seeker who attempts to win favor by flattering influential people.

And how does that relate to people getting all Mary Whitehouse about this pornstar-cum-wrestler scenario?

Personally, I don't see the problem with it. It's a bit mad for people to get on their high horse about an ex-pornstar on the roster when there are other women on the same show who actually do sex-wrestles with men for cash in hand. That's a much more dodgy endeavour because it's sort-of within the same genre as the shows the kids are watching, and even that's a spurious thing for a parent to get upset about. But of all the things you could call someone who gets all "BAN THIS SICK FILTH" about it (and I think your other adjectives were fairly bang-on), sycophantic doesn't seem to fit.

To be honest I was going off on one and just using descriptive traits that's that I can't stand and I put that on level (perhaps wrongly) with effectively agreeing with what is seen by many on their 'high horse' as being the 'right and just' thing. Like refusing to be your own person. But you're right, on reflection it was the wrong word to use in that sentence no matter how I viewed / meant it. I'll go back, edit and replace with the word 'cunty' ;-)

Dann, I don't have no problem with you or EVE, but please get your facts right when I said I wouldn't support any company involved in anything to do with 1PW.

At that time, you had a show booked to take part as part of the 1PW weekend, at their venue.

In the end, you swapped venues and the 1PW shows never happened, but I couldn't ever support any promotion aligning itself with a promotion that ripped off many fans on many occassions.

Sorry Holly, it is nothing personal, but I was lead to believe you were still in the adult industry.

I have no problem with active adult stars wrestling, I just think they shouldn't be on family friendly shows, as some kids see these wrestlers as role models and I wouldn't want any future children of mine to be a fan then try to explain what they do when they eventually here about their other job.

If Holly has indeed given up adult work and is now wrestling on family shows, then I want to wish her good luck, but if she hasn't then I can't if she is performing on family shows.

Someone mentioned on here she had recently talked about a booking on her twitter account but I am not going to go looking for it.

I am not a troll, just someone voicing their concern, but as you obviously think I am then I will not bother commenting in any EVE topics in future.

P.S. I wouldn't blame you for thinking God is a cunt Dann, after all there is a lot of horrific and disgusting things going on in our world, so what kind of sick freak would create such a place and just sit back and watch it all?

Holly never mentioned an adult booking on her Twitter at all, as far as I'm aware. Any tweets referred to in this passage of this thread have been from Kendo with regard to her adult work. My question was whether this was brand new stuff that she had shot, but she says it was shot back in January, which is fine. That's pretty much all I was interested in knowing!

Kayfabe or is she moving on to bigger company?

No, she's definitely leaving. She's going freelance.

Apparently a lot of the roster were unaware until she announced it on her U-Stream show. Wouldn't like to speculate too much about it, but there are plenty of rumours doing the rounds as to why she's leaving.

She's the founder, trainer, role model, veteran and public spokesperson of Ice Ribbon. Her loss will be massive, considering much of the roster is young/inexperienced.

Sad face.

Had never seen her before, even on youtube, but was hugely impressed with her at the shows in Nottingham.

Theoretically, is there anyone on the roster with enough experience/respect to take over the sort of role she currently occupies?

I wouldn't have thought so. Fujimoto's probably the most experienced roster member (correct me if I'm wrong freaky), but I wouldn't suggest she'd be willing/in the position to take over Sakura's role.

Sakura's been a massive influence over the whole of Ice Ribbon and is one of the most experienced Joshi still active today.

I'm concerned about the promotions future at this stage, and until their future plans are announced, in terms of trainers and schedules etc are announced, a lot still remains in limbo.

Ice Ribbon has always felt like a really tight knit promotion and Sakura's been the driving force, IR without her seems incomprehensible.
