stewdogg Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) As the title says, it will be on BBC Confidential, BBC One 1735. Â I hope it's John Simm personally, but I'm quite eager to find out who it is. Edited August 4, 2013 by Rapey Eyes Quote

I'd say about zero chance of it being Simm, and less than zero of it being Carlyle, as he's already committed to another series in the USA. Quote
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted January 2, 2009 Paid Members Posted January 2, 2009 I bet it's a woman. Quote
andrew "the ref" coyne Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I bet it's a woman. Â Ooooooooooooooooooooooooohhh. Controversial! Â I bet the next doctor is black. A black women. That'll piss off someone! Quote
bAzTNM Fan Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I heard a rumour that the new Doctor was going to be Paterson Joseph, who plays the excellent Alan Johnson in Peep Show. Quote
Jonny Vegas Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I heard a rumour that the new Doctor was going to be Paterson Joseph, who plays the excellent Alan Johnson in Peep Show. Â One of my all time favourite characters from anything, up there with Apollo Creed. Quote
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted January 2, 2009 Paid Members Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) Anybody ever watch Basic Instinct 2? He was terrible in that, but he'd make a good Doctor IMHO. Edited January 2, 2009 by bAzTNM Quote
IrishDave Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) Paterson Joseph has already been in 2 episodes of Doctor Who before, I think it was the end of series 1... Â Off topic, but while running on round on IMDB trying to see if I'm right (which I was), I've discovered that Christopher Ecclestone is in the G.I. Joe film as Destro. Awesome! lancastrino Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Is there any chance of it being James Nesbitt? Quote
PSF Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I heard one of the favourates for the role was Meera Syal, from Goodness Gracious Me. Although I hate the idea of the Doctor being a woman, I do think that should be very good in the role. Like David Tennant, she is very good at both comedy and drama, the way the doctor should be. Â But heres hoping to a traditional doctor. Quote
RCD Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I'd love to see it be Marc Warren of Hustle fame but he's already played a role in the new Doctor Who & it was a pretty prominent one at that. Quote
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted January 2, 2009 Paid Members Posted January 2, 2009 I'm hoping it's Roger Moore. He would be tremendous. Old, but tremendous. Quote
Steveo2007 Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Is there any chance of it being James Nesbitt? hope not, fucking hate Nesbitt and wouldn't watch any series with him in it. Â John Simm would be a good and interesting choice, as if they brought martha back they could play on that for a bit Quote
