Probably lies because I recorded many years ago a mini documentary that showed the history of sky tv and they specifically said it didnt launch until feb 1989 as the guy in the hughes tv shop in may said we were one of the first people to get it. Checking wiki yes Sky Television launched on Feb 1989 alough it is true sky channel had been around before but people tend to talk BS without any possitive proof of what they re saying.

:duh:

Was slightly out with me dates not bad from memory. July 1990 for the rebrand of Sky Channel to Sky One other than that its all good

Some further dates and stuff

TV Time line

There is plenty more on the net as well.

What was the deal with the nasty chair shots Big Bossman levelled on Earthquake at the 1990 Summerslam PPV event?

It was an angle to put Earthquake over. He had Hogan in a bearhug and BossMan couldnt pry him off the Hulkster. So he started wallying into him with a metal folding chair. It was just an angle.

Why was that chair different tho? Man it gave the quake some nasty cuts to his back.

Dunno. Must have been the chairs they had at the venue. I remember reading somewhere that Jimmy Hart bladed the Quake's back off-camera to make it look worse than the shots to the back he was legit taking.

Wasn't it a folding mini set of steps?

Looks like a small painting ladder.

Yeah, looks like a very small ladder.

Jimmy Hart must have been quick as a flash with the blading, 'Quake started getting those crazy cuts on his back immediately after taking the ladder shots.

Earthquake and the Boss Man didn't even feud after it, didn't they? .. which rendered the whole thing pointless, but it did make Tenta look tough as f*ck.

Jimmy blading quake seems bullshit as he didnt get the marks on his back until you actually saw the chair struck. Plus they wernt really cuts because you get blood and those were just marks on him.

Ian: Who's that bloke in your sig? And, more to the point, is this bloke who looks like the dad out of Bread really insinuating he would have kicked fuck out of the homicidal suicidal mentalist Chris Benoit?

How far was the Bret Hart timeline for had he stayed after Survivor Series 1997?

Someone mentioned a fatal four way at DX PPV followed by a Ladder match between Bret/HBK at the rumble following that by a Hart/Austin WWF Title match at Mania. Was anything else for Bret planned?
