UKFF Questions Thread V2

No, definitely just WM13 and WM24.

Those two and WM23 are the only 3 times he's wrestled for the Title at WrestleMania.

The 1995 Holiday Hell was the only one to get a video/dvd release. They might have titled some December house shows Holiday Hell in other years though.

Because the licenses for their music have run out and Vince doesn't want to pay to renew them.

It was also the main draw of Slamboree 96, where any possibility of random drawing was completely absent, bearing in mind pretty much every match had either i) Enemies teaming ii) enemies against each other iii) regular partners ending up in a team. IIRC, it had 16 teams, with the winners progressing to another tag match, and then the finale. Combined with three or so non-tournament matches, it meant something like 16 matches on a pretty much wretched PPV. Russo brought the concept back for a tag title tournament in 1999, which was similiarly dodgy...

In 96 was this not the reason Eddie Gurrerro and DDP were fueding before the nWo invasion, due to them winnning the tag tourney and DDP nicking the ring?

and why was the bulldog billed from leeds around 1992???

Im sure, as said above, because Leeds won the league in 92.

what hapenned to jinsei shinzaki/hakushi is he still working?

Yeah, he's where he's always been (apart from that short stint in the WWF). And that's the place where he started his career in 1993 and most likely will end his career. That being Michinoku Pro, where he helps run the day to day business of the company with owner Great Sasuke.

While I do recall DDP having some sort of feud with someone or other over a ring, this isn't likely the reason, as the finale - like in all but the aforementioned Russo tag tourney version - was a battle royale, with every man for themselves. DDP may have used shenanigans to win this - like he was elminated from the battle royale, and then found a way back in behind the ref's back - but I don't recall properly...

Wikipedia says..

Diamond Dallas Page won a Battle royal also featuring: The Barbarian, Earl Robert Eaton, Ice Train, Scott Norton, Rocco Rock, Johnny Grunge and Dick Slater (9:33)

Page was crowned "Lord of the Ring" and earned a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at The Great American Bash.

The title shot was revoked the next night on WCW Monday Nitro, after footage shown that Page was thrown over the top rope by Barbarian and one foot touched the floor

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slamboree#1996

I remember footage of this was on one of the WCW VHS's, that were released in the UK. He pinned The Barbarian, didn't he?
